Many moments in life are difficult, some uncomfortable, and others that we simply don't want to do, but there is no alternative.

In order to be able to do these things, which can be acts, to carry out a job, a conversation with someone or even to keep quiet about a situation, one must have a real and strong motivation, otherwise it would be twice as difficult to carry out such tasks.

And many times it is difficult to find that motivation, because those things to be done are so difficult and even ugly that we would like not to have to do them.

Where do I find the motivation that is needed, then?

Because I've done them, the difficult things, I've done too many of them.

I think the first thing to keep in mind is focus, to have an end goal, something that we want to achieve. Kind of like saying the end justifies the means.

Of course the means don't mean doing something bad to somebody, but the means are difficult or uncomfortable for ourselves.

In this case my motivation would arise from that end result, something I have to achieve or something I want to achieve, but for which I have to go through an unpleasant path.

Moving to another country was not easy at all, it was a challenge and very hard.

The road was difficult and uncomfortable? Yes, very much so. I had to face things I had never done before.

Many may think that moving from a third world country to a first world country is easy, but that is not real. Especially arriving without guidance, without advice, without help, alone and with only a map.

I wasn't used to doing a lot of things, certain formalities, for example, experiences I had never had before, like renting a flat from nothing, without a job, without a guarantor, without anything.

But the plan was one, there was only plan A. And my family would arrive in 6 months. I set myself the task of being the one to lead the way. And the motivation was to think of a better life, alternatives, future and my family.

Motivation should always be something so superior that it has the strength to help us do those difficult things. That when we remember it, it gives us the courage and strength of a thousand men to continue on the path, even if it is uncomfortable.

I had moments when I felt lost, I cried, I got stressed, I despaired... the road was not easy but the motivation was much stronger.

Of course I have had many other difficult moments in my life, but this one I highlight was the one that left the biggest mark on me, the one that made my life turn around and made me the best version of myself.

A woman of integrity, strong, determined and with conviction. A woman sure of who she is.

Personally, the motivation to do difficult or uncomfortable tasks or things is to look at the end result, the objective or goal that the stronger it is the more it drives and helps me to do those things.

It also motivates me to think about the changes for the better that the difficult thing to do can bring about.

Thoughts are as powerful as words or even more powerful than words. It depends on our thinking, the possible futures. Thinking about goals and the positive things that can be achieved, will always help as motivation for the difficult or uncomfortable things along the way.
