Indeed. I plan on placing all my income and expenses on the one card. But Discover card has a few places where it is not accepted, requiring use of a Visa or MC for those payments. Still others only accept debit cards. If I find myself tight in cash flow, I'll have the cash advance option with less fees.
At least you know what options you have regarding the cash advances. That's something few if any people know about when they first get their credit cards. I know it was a shock for me when I learned about them the hard way a long time ago.
