Here is the post for the Daily Leo Talk. In preparation for the upcoming Microblogging features, this is a good place to start conversations, posts charts, memes, trades, or anything else that comes to mind.

Let us boost our overall numbers by posting lots of comments throughout the day. Spread the word to get others involved.

It is a great way to stimulate engagement.

We can think of this as a Reddit type engagement thread. We are not dealing with long form content so topics of discussion can start off with a top line comment. We can fill in from there.

We are open 24/7/365.

Guys I'm here, have classes again, and just started a job as well, so I'm one tired boy. I have the title of my next blog post done (which I usually do last), just have to find time to write it. It was good seeing the comment numbers creeping up again, and I'll try to pop in after I wake up. But if you don't see me around as much, that's why.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Good luck with your classes. We are glad to see you still hanging out here as much as you can.

That is important.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Good luck with the classes. I hope they prove to be useful and productive for you. Publish your posts when you can, comment when you have a chance. We'll be here waiting for you!

As a student, you may need a slice of !PIZZA

Damn that pesky real life getting in the way of magical internet life!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not sure if I posted this or not. Either way, what are your thoughts on Mimble Wimble? Could this be a privacy feature that shakes things up?

We obviously need to seek this out. This is one thing that I think will really surprise people. In my view, we will see a bunch of privacy project suddenly showing up one day.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

MimbleWimble-- once people realize what it can do-- will make people give Litecoin a second look. I only found about about it thanks to research I did for @crypto-guides. Privacy is even more important now than before, and we need all the tools we can get.

It will also make people realize that if an old coin like Litecoin can get new functionality added, then other pre-Ethereum altcoins can be upgraded and perhaps gain a 2nd life.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Privacy doesn't matter until it does. This a a major feature IMO. Good on those Litecoin guys for innovating.

I think privacy is going to become more important going forward. I already have plans to load up on Monero but it's interesting to see other projects doing something about it too.

Guys, quick question:

If I set someone as a beneficiary for my posts, do they get a share of all tokens being rewarded or only Hive?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think it is all payouts but I am not 100% certain.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I tried that a few posts ago. It looks as if it's a share of all tokens. I say this because I do not use the VYB tag for buzzes I make at #dbuzz, yet I saw VYB in the wallet for my D.Buzz account.

Is anyone aware of any e-mail services for Web 3.0 which don't use ENS (Ethereum Name Server)? I wouldn't mind give one a try except for the gas fees; those messages won't store themselves!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'm not sure if this is what you're after from a technical point of view, but something I've been meaning to look into is Dmail.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is exactly what I was looking for! It even offers cloud storage.

The "Litepaper" for Dmail mantions gas fees as a throwaway item, but oddly enough it doesn't give details on gas fees. My main concern was not getting banged over the head by Ethereum Gas Fees, which is why I was looking for alternatives.

If Dmail's gas fees aren't like what we see from Ethereum, then we may have a winner here.

It's surprising that with all the development which takes place on Hive and how it tries to position itself as a Web 3.0 alternative to everything from Web 2.0 that e-mail service doesn't exist.

The banks are going to dive into crypto market. We are going to see 300 banks offering crypto trading.

This is why they are opposing crypto in Washington. They are simply trying to slow things down so they can build out their platforms.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Hopefully this continues to spur mass adoption and by the time our nimble government figures out what's happening, it will be too late to do much about it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I just posted an article that focused primarily on CityCoins and what that project is doing.

Hell the governments, at the city level, are looking to get involved.

It is an amazing race. We simply need to keep pushing things in every direction. That is the key, simply overwhelm them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

They now understand the importance of crypto and I won’t be surprised if we see more banks before this year runs out

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

REMINDER!!!

Get all those #CANDIES.

They are sitting there waiting to be claimed.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I finally got 100 candies!
Can't remember the last time I did that... I gotta stop slacking

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes you do. It seems you excelled at that over the last couple months.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I got the first 29 easy enough. The 30th one was slippery, but I got the little bastard. In the jar he goes with the other 10000.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I must say the comment sections of the trending page posts are looking strong.

Is anyone here making that more of a focus?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'm not at your level, but I am trying to up my general comment and comment voting game a little more.

I never have enough LP to vote everything I want to reward as is haha.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I actually just had to move my voting percentages down a little on articles and comments both. It's still more than I was giving a couple weeks ago because I powered up a bunch of LEO, but I've been finding my voting power getting low too soon, like you.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Part of it is because I've actually been posting on a regular basis so I've been using up votes upvoting people who comment on my articles.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, I have been doing 100% for posts and 20% for comments.

I'd like to keep that for posts, but I've gotta reconsider.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've been less active than usual due to time constraints. Starting a business has been harder than I thought lol

But I completed an important milestone today so I think I'll have a little more free time today and I'll make that more of a priority.

And @leomarkettalk too, of course.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I just want to improve my comments too on daily basis, soon people will know the importance of engagement

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am for sure. Since I read your post I realized this is how I can raise my level of engagement.

Before I cross the event horizon surrounding Daily Crypto Markets Live Blog, I comment on posts from the Trending Page or from other posts I encounter. Once I engage with other Leos and Hivers where they are, then I can work on posts and comments at DCMLB.

My comment count for DCMLB will take a hit until I can figure out how to round out my engagement. Instead of specializing in sprinting or distance running, I'm training for a decathlon; that's my new approach to engagement in 2022.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, I'll try to distribute my attention between here, my feed and trending page.

Not going to be easy but it's a solid plan

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've been back at it this week after my covid layoff. It's always been something I'm focused on. Didn't do much today but...if I'm going to write articles about engaging, I feel like I need to practice what I preach.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Are you ok now?
How bad were your sympthoms?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, a little cough remains but it's slowly going away. I was never in any danger but it did kick my ass for a solid two weeks and then it was another full week to kind of get back in the swing of things. I got it the week before Christmas and then the whole family got sick. Not the most enjoyable way to spend the holidays but we made the best of it.

The EU might be working to shoot itself in the foot...again.

As foolhardy as the politicians are in Washington, the Americans might come out ahead in this by default. If most of the other major centers ban crypto mining, we will see much of it end up in North America.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Didn't some miners who were banned by China relocate to Texas? It also helps that Texas is a leader in the energy sector.

Iceland could see some miners there as well, although Iceland is technically part of Europe.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

HIVE at $1.15

Bitcoin now just under $42K.

Gearing up for a big run...or a continues pullback.

Either way, I just keep filling my bags.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is the time to make money. Work harder and accumulate tokens for when the bull run comes and hopefully a little FOMO.

Yup, when the markets are down, that's the time to bury your head in commenting and curating and building your stakes. It's a lot easier to build when prices are low. You just need to turn the fact that things are negative in the markets into a positive that you can earn more for when they go up.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hopefully let hope this pick up from there any keeps on going up,but one thing I know despite being a novice us that, this is the best time to buy and save

I wonder if it's going under $1 again... either way, I'm also buying. A lot of buying opportunities across the board right now.

LEO and CUB very cheap right now also. Definitely going to grab some.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The $1 line will be very interesting to see how well it holds up.

Another tidbit is the people who are getting their rewards 50/50 are doing better, acting as an hedge against the pullback.

Of course, stick that in the savings and earn 12% annually while the market is crashing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's what I'm doing. With the markets all wishy-washy, it seems like a good idea to have something in stables.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Earning 12% no less.

I love to write that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I can’t wait to see hive at 2$ again believe 5$ is possible. I believe it a good buy from here

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I know a number of people in here are involved with LBI.

This is what I wrote earlier for the @lbi-token account.

It will be interesting to see what the White Book says about #ProjectBlank. This is going to be a smashing success when it does finally get to market.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Leo just has so much going on right now. It's not at Hive's level yet, but it is definitely still building at a rapid pace. Hopefully these developments will spur some activity in the token itself. I love being able to pick it up at these levels, but it IS nice to get thrown a little bone now and then with some price appreciation.

That said, I'm just trying to keep my head down and building. People don't realize how significant small moves are when we're at these low prices. I mean $100 at 20 cents buys you 500 LEO. At 25 cents it's only 400 and at 50 cents it's only 200. If you want to build a nice sized stake, now is the time.

Google Analytics now illegal in the EU.

This is some very interesting stuff. I like watching governments and big tech go at it. Let them battle it out and take all the attention.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

For some context, the decision applies only in Austria and isn’t final.

So we're not going to suddenly see websites across Europe stop using Google Analytics.

Here's the tech website the Wired's take, which seems a bit more balanced:

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well either way, let governments and big tech duke it out. They can do he dance for the next few years, something that will result in us taking a different approach.

And while the decision might not be final, do companies really want to run the risk of being afoul of the regulators in the EU? They have a difficult situation there with an extremely heavy handed government (a trend showing up everywhere).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is no surprise but it is a reminder of what we are working towards. It is also good to know we are not the only ones who are looking in this direction.

Is lab grown meat in the future?

There is a lot of discussion about plant based meats but that is not actual meat. Lab grown meat is truly derived from animal cells. Hence they are actually "growing" a chicken.

The price is now $7.70 per pound, still far above regular pricing but a huge drop from recent months.

These figures are significant for a couple reasons. First is the speed with which the company has brought down its production costs. Just six months ago, Future Meat’s cost of making cultured chicken was around $18 per pound. To be well below half that in less than a year’s time means the company’s methodology is working better than even they expected; the cost reduction actually exceeded an 18-month projection the company put out in May.

From what I read, with these meats, the question is not so much taste as texture. Going through this process results in the meat being different from what comes from slaughtering an animal.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

just what we need...more processed foods to trigger more health issues .. I'm not a fan of so called plant based meats but at least you're eating healthier foods as long as you are careful of the fillers used.

It isnt actually processed in the same way as our food now.

This is using stem cell technology.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not to be a debbie-downer, but I just hope these people didn't cut some corners to bring down the costs. Like adding "growth" agents or something. We already have too much nasty stuff in our foods.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Kind of like they do with our meat now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Exactly. Hopefully with a new industry starting up, they can do things right rather than having too much focus on the bottom line. The ends don't necessarily justify the means here...

Google: how do i download the 3speak desktop app

Definitely going to generate some traffic when people have to start claiming their airdrop.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I read your article. Definitely very timely for a lot of people. I know you won't post it here, so I'll do it for you. :-)

https://leofinance.io/@forexbrokr/how-to-download-the-3speak-desktop-app

Personally, I think it's a link you should post in here every day until the airdrop...probably even for a while afterwards. Lots of people are going to need it since every single holder of HIVE is going to get some.
