You don't have to know everything, just support newcomers, answer their questions that you can and encourage them to bring ones you can't answer to the Savers community on the Saturday Savers Club post each Saturday.

On my way to 6K HP, having beaten the 5K some time ago, today I'm 5,718 as of the moment. I think it's pretty much a done deal already!
PIMP isn't looking so rosy, it just got to expensive for my secondary goal likely won't be achievable this year barring a miracle. I have 32K staked right now!

In 2023, my primary goal was to reach 1,800 HP, then I pushed myself to aim for 2,000 HP, and eventually set a new milestone of 2,200 HPโwhich I achieved! ๐
Now, my HP has grown to an impressive 3,364,075. However, as the year 2024 began, I realized I forgot to update my status and join the 2024 Saturday Savers Club list. But thatโs okayโI'll be back on track for 2025!
Oh, and Iโve also increased my delegation to @eds-vote by another 500 HP. Fingers crossed, Iโll add even more next year. ๐ช Letโs keep growing and striving for greater achievements!

Oh, sorry, I forgot. But maybe my idea could make the Hive community and Saturday Savers Club even more exciting: The Buddy System. Hereโs how I envision it:
Structured Pairing
Experienced members can become mentors for newcomers. For example, pairing could be based on interests or time zones to ensure better compatibility. Personally, Iโve often followed @dewabrataโs progress and how heโs improved his HP, and itโs been super motivating. Having a mentor like him would be awesome.
Guidelines for Mentors
Mentors donโt need to know everythingโjust the basics. But having a simple guide for mentors, like how to welcome newcomers or initiate discussions in the Saturday Savers Club, would make this system more effective. Mentors could also help explain how Hive works in a way that doesnโt overwhelm newbies.
Recognition for Mentors
To keep mentors motivated, letโs reward them! This could be through cool badges, a small delegation of Hive Power, or, if possible, special upvotes for the newbies theyโre mentoring. If manual upvoting seems tedious, why not create a bot that mentors can use to upvote their mentees? Itโs simple and rewarding at the same time.
With just 2โ3 months of close mentoring, I believe newcomers would feel super comfortable in the Hive community. After that, theyโd be independent and might even become mentors for future newcomers. This system wouldnโt just make the community warmer but would also expand the network of members helping one another. Hive would feel even more alive, right? ๐

It's great to see next year's plan/timeline and buddying up with newcomers is a wonderful idea. It would be awesome to have a SSC community and I'd be willing to help in my little way, although I cannot promise full commitment (some circumstances irl).

I like the idea of putting together a community. With my pattern of work, I'm hesitant to over-commit to anything else, but I think it's safe to say that I'd be a regular poster and consistently supportive (with occasional breaks for real life, lol).
But my devious little brain also went to the idea of "hmmm... new token incoming.... rewards for the EDS community paid out in EDSCM. EDS Community Miner" ๐
I wonder if there's any mileage in tying something together with @zakludick's Busy Bees group - we share quite a few members in common and have similar goals, and mentoring is something Zak is incredibly strong on (and good at !) so perhaps a single community that brings both together could be an idea.
Buddying people up is definitely a great idea. I'd suggest each new person gets a buddy/mentor and a reserve one. That way, if the buddy goes inactive for any reason, we don't lose the new Hiver as well.

now for the input and feedback, this is a long one...
First one - buddy system
buddy system is a good approach but I am 50:50 about this. In work, buddy system works if everyone doing the same thing, but that is not what will happens here. yes everyone will make a same thing which is saving report, but it is not strictly how it is should be done. Each of us are supposed to make our own post, the more diverse we have, it becomes more interesting.
every person have different value, point of view, preference and this build up compatibility against other people. so there is a big probability that a person will be assigned to the mentor or buddy that has low compatibility. I prefer we build a group of users who willing to deliver guidance, mentorship and support.
Second one - community
If I have some time, I will help out for sure. I mean if my real life workload is not at ridiculous level. so consistency will be my main issue here, something that I dislike but I have to admit it.
Personally I lean more on NO for creating a community. Currently what I see is that people make #saturdaysavers on C/ Inleo, C/ Freecompliments, C/ silver bloggers, and other different communities, and this will make #saturdaysavers gets engagement from many communities
Having own community is great, but if we are not careful enough, we might end like a frog in a well... becomes something exclusive that not exposed to other community. there are other risks too, for example some stupid whales might think we are a bunch of circle jerking community with copy paste scheme.
ok I think I have delivered my points here, I hope It could enrich your views about this one. However I believe you already have your decision there before this post is published ๐
๐ No indeed, I wanted to say it out loud (or publish it) to see what I thought about it.
I'm pretty much coming to the same conclusion as you about both ideas - buddies and community. I'm not sure what extra value there would be in a community, it feels like it's something for later.
A big thing is keeping everything manageable and not stretching too far with too many things involved.
I think it would be a great idea to buddy new comers with savers that have been members for a while. Being a newbie myself i strongly believe that bits of guidance here and there would be helpful to understand more about Saturday savers club, hive and the other how to questions.

I think the buddies idea is good. At the begin all the possibilities seem to be a bit overwhelming. I would like to help there too, but currently i just do not have the time for it :/.

I booked some profit from BTC pump and staked over 1K Hive and had 1K+ SPS also staked.
Pushing my LP goal to next year as I can't afford 10K+ LP by year end due to price of Leo token increased over last few days.
