Fran is one of those memorable characters that remain forever in everyone's collective memory. Sarcastic, uninhibited and laughable; she shows us with humor the clash of classes and American ambition. She is part of a 90's TV show (which aired from November 3, 1993 to June 23, 1999, for six consecutive seasons), played by Fran Drescher. The character was created by herself and, along with her then-husband Peter Marc Jacobson, were the producers. The series was a success.

Fran Fine is a nice Jewish Queens resident whose boyfriend dumps her and fires her (he was her boss) to hire someone else. So she starts selling cosmetics door-to-door. One day she arrives on the doorstep of millionaire widowed theater producer, Maxwell Sheffield in New York and, by accident, becomes the nanny for his three children while trying to sell his wares.

I love the character for her outgoing character, her unconventional upbringing and her great sense of humor, which is everything in the series and doesn't let the viewer change the channel. It's one of the series I watched as a kid and rewatched every chance I got, and every time I was hooked on it and its humor. I also liked two other characters who were the butler, Niles, and the landlord's partner (who wants to hunt him down to marry him) C.C. Babcock. The sarcastic and sassy humor of both of them put the icing on the cake of the history. And I find it extremely funny and amazing that they end up falling in love (even having a child!).
Me encanta el personaje por su carácter extrovertido, su crianza poco convencional y su gran sentido del humor, que es todo en la serie y no deja que el televidente cambie de canal. Es una de las series que veía cuando era chica y que volví a ver cada vez que pude, y todas las veces me quedaba enganchada con ella y su humor. También me gustaban otros dos personajes que era el mayordomo, Niles, y la socia del dueño de casa (que quiere cazarlo para casarse con él) C.C. Babcock. El humor sarcástico y atrevido de ambos le pone la guinda al pastel de la historia. Y me parece sumamente gracioso y asombroso que al final acabaran enamorados (¡hasta teniendo un hijo!).
I loved the end of the series, Fran so worried about her age and her bachelorhood (and her mother always reminds her), she ends up realizing that love was closer to her than she thought. under her own roof! She finally marries Maxwell and they expand their family, as it should be. Fran brings warmth to that family and ends up bringing it together and that's the most valuable thing of all. If you haven't seen this series yet I recommend it, you won't stop laughing, despite the years that have passed.
Amé el final de la serie, Fran tan preocupada por su edad y su soltería (y su madre siempre se lo recuerda), acaba dándose cuenta de que el amor estaba más cerca de ella de lo que pensaba. ¡Bajo su mismo techo! Finalmente se casa con Maxwell y amplían su familia, como debería ser. Fran le da calidez a esa familia y termina uniéndola y eso es lo más valioso de todo. Si no has visto aún esta serie te la recomiendo, no vas a parar de reír, a pesar de los años que pasaron.

Yo recuerdo que esta serie era muy popular, yo no llegué a verla, no sé ni porqué pero nunca vi un episodio, sin embargo recuerdo mucho la época en la que la pasaban en TV, pero por todo lo que cuentas se ve muy interesante y sobre todo divertida.
Es muy popular y yo la empecé a ver por mi mamá que le encantaba y la veía siempre. Es muy chistosa. En especial Fran, que ella misma inventó el personaje, es muy buena y muy divertida. Tiene una ironía muy sutil que me encanta ¡Hasta se diseñaba todos los trajes que llevaba!
