"The last church" prompt for today reminds me of the institution of the word "church". It doesn't necessarily mean a physical structure. I remember reading about my family history in which the community organized a meeting place to congregate. They held fellowship and prayer. They considered their group a church until they raised enough money to build a physical structure. I share a ZAPFIC50 story told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

Below is my story.
Five raindrops fell rapidly on my cheek. Or was it sorrow as I watched the light flicker, then darkness. Fingers pointed, then blame shifted toward me as non-believers abandoned the last church left standing.
I tried; ultimately failed; and now stand in judgement.
But I know all will be renewed.

En Busca de la Gloria
Cinco gotas de lluvia cayeron rápidamente sobre mi mejilla. O fue tristeza al ver la luz parpadear y luego la oscuridad. Los dedos me señalaron y luego me echaron la culpa mientras los no creyentes abandonaban la última iglesia que quedaba en pie.
Lo intenté; al final fracasé; y ahora soy juzgado.
Pero sé que todo se renovará.
