Hello Hive friends and readers. It's another start of the weekend. I hope you all have some fun things planned.

Today I will let you know what decade I would prefer to live in if given the choice. I've thought about this for awhile and I'm not going to lie I've changed my mind a few times. I want to start this decade at the early age of 17.

The decade I wouldn't choose

Myself before a house party that celebrated my High School graduation.

I definitely will not choose the one I spent those years in. I mean if given the choice we have to try something different right? I want to experience somethings I've only heard about, have a little memory about, or seen on television. I don't want a do over so the 1990's are out for me. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed this decade, no faults here.

Decades I considered but didnt go with

Picture of Sister and I on Christmas day.

I thought about starting older in the decade I spent the most as a child, 1980's. I will say I love the music from this time, it just brings back so many good memories. Metal and long hair bands were big. I could see myself head banging out. Afterall I did in the nineties when I had long hair as a teenager. I would like to go back to my childhood in this decade again. I had a great childhood so why not. As a young adult I prefer another one I think.

Above photo is my father's car sometime late 60's early 70's.

I considerated starting out in the 1960's. Hey dude, groovy, far out, and watch out for the fuzz man we're all lingo by the hippie movement. Being part of the peace ✌️ and love 💞 era would have been fun. I just don't know if I could endure it for a whole decade, lol. Plus it just seems like a lot brain power might have been wasted away up in smoke, lol. Towards the end of the decade I really liked the muscle car look of automobiles and this continued into the 1970's.

My Choice

Me with you know who in the late 1970's

I have to go with 1970's for numerous reasons. It was the decade I was born in and I don't really remember much about it until the last few years of it. The first part of the decade would still have a little flavor or the 1960's which I could endure. I really think I could have rocked some bell-bottom jeans too, hehe. All those muscle cars I like from the late 60's would be a little older and less money.

Interesting fact I own 1972 Chevrolet C-10 pick up. It's a planned restoration project in the near future. Sorry no pictures, right now it basically takes space in the garage. The bed of the truck is full of parts. Both doors are off, hoods off, and quite a bit of others things as well. It's been over 15 years since I've done really anything with it. Maybe it's time for me to schedule it into a body and paint shop.

I think the best part of the seventies for me would be the Disco era. I don't mean to brag but I can dance to a beat. I always enjoyed doing my thing to Disco. So why not put on my grooves when it was hot and new.

If I was transported back in time to the seventies I would be retired already right now. So yet another reason to choose this decade.

After thoughts

It would be fun to go back to a different decade at a given age. Of course considering everything falls in line like family and friends being there. I ask you this what decade would choose and what age would you like to be?

Thanks for reading and stopping by. Take care, be safe, and I love you all ❤️

Sorry for the bad photo quality they were photos taken by me of photos that were in my families photo album.

You want to visit your past when you have peak of adultness. I shall choice my childhood when I was doll of my parents.

What age as a baby, toddler, or school age?

If I want to go back in time, I guess I would choose the time I was also young...no worries. Just playing around haha

It's to go back to a time picking your own age. Like in my case it would be 1970 at the age of 17. Was there a particular decade you liked or heard things about where you wished you could experience? Thanks for the point tips :)

Lol, this was interesting. I often had similar thoughts, where I would go back in time, in which decade or era. My choice would be the late 50's, early 60's, but only for the style. Now my question is, would you prefer to have the mindset and memories you have now? Or would you prefer these years you lived already, to be deleted and go there blank? 😃 Let's see as it's a huge difference between the two.

Yes a big difference and I would not alter my timeline. I'll even take it a step further, I would not change my past very much if it would delete certain things I have in life now. An example, if I could win a lottery of $200,000,0000 25 years ago and it would mean my current son wouldn't be here I would not take the money. On the other side of the coin, if I knew the the winning numbers of next week's lottery I take the money 🤑 😂. I do this because I don't know what the future holds. If we can change the past we have a different now. I would probably think differently if I wasn't a parent.

Oh, another thing. We have a relatively new community called Reflections. Check it out, it is a good one for all kinds of "reflections".

Thanks for the tip on the community. I'll add it to my communities here in a bit. There's others I want to check out as well. Haha, I thought of another topic that would fit right in with it. Oh Time, can I have some more of you please?

I think I'll go back in the decade where I am still on my teenage years lol. I am full of energy in those moments in my life! Anyway, woah, you look like a celebrity when you're 17. Looking so handsome!

Thank you for the compliments, haha. Would you want to be a teenager in a different decade like the 1980's for instance?

I think I'll go with the 1960's.

I would like to visit that decade as well. A lot cultural changes were iniatated during the 60's.

If I could go back to my past I will choose the time my life was still happy and less stressful

I hear that :D but I worry about changing the present (i.e. Son, job, and friends)

I like that you incorporate your old/childhood photos in the article. I would really love to write about my old photos as well but everything is in the Philippines. My husband told me I am trapped with an old soul. It's funny how my husband and my father-in-law got surprised when I learned and sing along with the old songs they were listening to in the 70s. I was born in 1988 but if I go time travel, I want to experience that decade.

I took many photos of photos. I need to go back to my mother's and take some more. She has like a dozen photo Albums. Some photos are 140 years old. Super cool stuff and I want to do an article someday on it .

It's an interesting decade for sure. Many cultural things happened in that decade. I loved the Disco era the most during that period.
