A Week with My Girlfriend's Mother: A Memorable Visit

Some weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet with my girlfriend's mother. She came around to visit her daughter and sometime before, She mentioned she would be coming around and that we should prepare for her visit. I thought she was joking at first until she kept repeating it.

Before she came around, I had not met her in person, but we had been talking on the phone and also chatting on WhatsApp. She had been a very nice woman before I met her, so I just knew that it would be cool when she came around.

Then she finally came around one particular evening, but I could not visit her that day because I had a meeting to attend. If I can remember, that particular day was a Monday, on which I hosted the Hive Learners Heart to Heart Community Hangout.

I really wanted to visit her that day she came around, so what I did was that after the hangout had ended, which was a little past 9 p.m., I left my place immediately to go to Pearl's place so that I could give her a warm welcome and also surprise her.

When I got there, I was surprised. I got to Pearl's place, and nobody was home. I tried calling, but their lines didn't go. unaware that @creativepearl took her mother to visit her cousin, @drama.queen. I waited a little past 10 p.m. before I left, hoping to see her before I left.

Since I could not get to welcome her, I made sure I visited her the next day and kept her company through the week she was around. She had such a vibe; we had interesting conversations and played games together throughout the week.

During that week, I had always wanted to write about how each day went, but I didn't have much time to create the content, and in a way, I have lost touch with knowing how to create posts about my day.

This particular day, I decided to spend most of it with her. I think it was a public holiday. I bought WHOT, which is a card game, along with some snacks and drinks.

It was a very interesting day for all of us. We had fun with a lot of laughs and smiles. Next time she comes around and there is money, I would love to take her for an outdoor activity.

Before she left, she came around to visit me at my place. I was not expecting that she would want to know my place in school, but I was happy that she came around.
