It WAS super fun, especially as it's not something I normally do. Don't you think sometimes writing is a joyful PLAY with structure and form, rhythm, contrast, etc etc? Like it doesn't just blurt out, it has to be shaped and moulded, and when it comes together it's sooo fun! But I am positive you know exactly what I'm talking about, guru!

Absolutely. I enjoy it when I can feel the rhythm of the piece. Its overall flow. I think that's why Stephen King wrote that an author should be thinking in paragraphs and not just sentences. Glad to see you're enjoying the process!

It's called On Writing: A memoir of the craft. Excellent book for learning a few tricks about writing fiction.
