Trying out a new place to eat

Went with my family on the weekend to a fish taverna called Karas which is next door to our local pub Pig and Whistle where we have enjoyed roast Sunday lunch several times.

Cappuccino - always a welcome end to a meal

This was a very good choice of restaurant and we were all very satisfied with our selection of meals.

My brother ordered the Seafood pasta and he enjoyed it. I had the fish - also great - and my mom and sister shared the lamb chops with chips.

We are all on a fast before Easter and sadly no chocolates in our diet at present.

Cappuccino always satisfies however so happily we enjoyed the treat.

Morning Leeletrik; here's an odd question for you, which country are you in? Food looks delicious, but some of the words in the menu I've not heard of before. - Beef Stifado - is Stifado a sauce, or a way to prepare it?

Tim

I'm in Cyprus at present. They speak a Cypriot language which is similar to Greek - A lot of people think it is a Greek island but it is not. Beef stifado is thinly sliced beef in a delicious gravy. Thanks for visiting my post Tim.

Glad to have learned something new; and greetings from Australia.
Have a good one, Tim.

Thanks Tim - Greeting right back at you. Hope to visit Australia one day

Yay! 🤗

That fish looks tasty, and the olives were like a condiment or part of a dish?

The olives were a side. The fish was very tasty.
