As my class teacher speaks that our elders always set example for other. She actually meant to say that "how we act influences the world around us and how others perceive us." It is not limited to pur elders or seniors but anyone would get influenced by other behaviour. Our behavior speaks about ourself. Our behavior impacts the people around us, our relationships, our environment, and even our own self-perception. The way we behave creates a ripple effect where positive actions can foster positive outcomes and negative actions can lead to negative consequences, both socially and personally. This is what makes minding our behavior too important in life.
Pertaining to this theory, our Sanskrit scholars have following words to speak about :
नत्या व्याघ्रोपि वशतामेतीति सुजना जगुः|
अतः सैवातियत्नेन साध्या पुरुषपुङ्गवैः||
Natyaa vyaaghropi vashataameteeti sujanaa jaguh.
Atah saivaatiyatnena saadhyaa purushapungavaih.
Natyaa = by bowing down, through courteous behaviour.
Vyaaghropi = vyaaghro + api.
Vyaaghro = a tiger.
Api = even.
Vashataameteeti = vashataam + etiti.
Vashataam = being under control of.
Sujanaa = noble and virtuous persons.
Jaguh = in this world.
Atah = therefore.
Saivaati= saiva + ati + yatnena.
Saiva = serve.
Ati = very, extremely.
Yatnena = with effort.
saadhyaa = won over or made amenable. Purushpungavaih = eminent and honourable persons.
"In this world noble and virtuous persons are able to tame even a tiger, through their behaviour. Therefore, one should serve eminent and honourable persons with special efforts and make them amenable towards him."
It is all about minding our behaviour, which means conscious of how we act and to behave appropriately. By doing so we can easily win over great power around. A virtuous and knowledgeable know how to impress other and create an impact through smart behavior. By doing so they make people amenable towards them.
Better to be watchful, towards pur behaviour as Actions speak louder than words. Choose our behavior wisely.
