"When am depressed says Esther, I don't have the motivation of doing anything, even things I normally love doing. I'll just feel like sleeping. Sometimes I feel am not loved, worthless or am a burden to others".
"I was thinking about suicide," remembers Isabella. I Never wanted to die either. All I wanted was this feeling to fade away. Normally I care alot but in my depressed state I don't care about anything or anyone."
Esther and Isabella in their early teens when they had the experience of depression. Their are other young people who might occasionally feel down. The signs of depression can show up during adolescence which may include changes in the following appetite, pattern of sleeping and weight. Feelings like worthlessness, hopeless, being sad and despair might also show up. Other symptoms are suicidal thoughts, social withdrawal, and other medical inclined symptoms.

In as much as little stress is healthy but too much or chronic stress can be harmful. Been said, the actual causes of depression remains uncertain and may require collective factors as noted earlier.
Related stress factors connected to depression which may be parental divorce, death of loved one, physical or sexual abuse, ill-health , other causes may be bullying, Been unclear about the future, and parental unpredictability.
