There is something about looking over the ocean and just staring at the clouds. Regardless of what weather is coming up because here in Vietnam the temperature is always very decent.

Normally in the Netherlands when you see these kinds of skies gaining on you, you know you are in trouble. No umbrella is going to save you there. These kinds of clouds usually have wind in there, squalls I would call them if I would be out sailing.

But here when you have the time and no agenda, I couldnt care less about them. Even better, they give fantastic views and spooky contrast to everything.

Honestly I have no idea most of the time if rain will fall out of them, but it also doesn't really matter. If rain would fall put them, I would just take a dip in sea. Nothing better than swimming in the rain in warm sea water.

In the Caribbean a dude once said to me:I don't understand why people are always running out of the water when it starts to rain. Y'all are always so eager to get in the water and now you want to get out? It is the same damn water!

Smart man that was, there is literally zero reason to get out of the warm water. And from the water you have even better views on the sky and what is coming up. What better way to spend your time at the beach without the worry of that it will rain.

And after all. This is a tropical climate for a reason and agriculture thrives. That has to do something with the amount of rain that falls, and that is a good thing!

Ohhh so you already ARE in Asia! I just returned home, and it's freaking cold!! Back to a decent internet connection, so will be able to actually read and comment other people's posts at will. Enjoy your time there!! Cheers! !BEER

Im not ready for the cold dude! Im fearing the transition big time. So you are already back? And legendary the philipines?

Landed yesterday, and already had to change my bed sheets. It's freakin cold, especially when you spent the last 15 days in tropical temperatures!! Phillipines were awesome, and I explored only a tiny fraction of it. How are you enjoying Vietnam? Staying for long?

Duty calls soon again, and yeah those tropical temperatures. Love them mucho <3

Loving the country indeed, came back for a reason!

I can imagine that you only spotted a fraction of the philipines. Such a gigantic country and the one place even more pretty than the next. Where to start! I was also hesitant on going philipines because of the weather that can still be a little bit tricky. But it sounds like you had perfect weather?

I wouldn't say perfect, but close enough. Some rain, but nothing that got in the way of enjoying the days. And most days cloudy, but sunny. I've reached the conclusion there's no point in looking at weather sites in Asia; if it were according to weather predictions, I would be under heavy rain almost half of my vacations!

And yes, only 2 islands of the over 7000 that exist in Phillipines! But it's always a good idea to leave something to be seen again, right! ;)

Happened to me too and i guess it was because people are used to avoid rain water and when they are on the sea, rhey sometimes forget about it.
