Top-Loading Experience With My Colleagues

On slender, incomplete, clogged roads, all wheels meld through the mountains in our town. The rock formations, absence of rails, and rough terrain provide an exciting driving experience.

It would be best if you sat on top to get the whole experience of this ride. Riding a top-load jeepney was very common in our area.

Top loading" is one way to position yourself while riding a jeep; specifically, instead of getting inside, you chose to place yourself on the top of the jeep's roof.

Toploading, or traveling on top of a jeepney, is a common mode of transportation in the Philippines' remote areas. Instead of waiting another hour for the next trip, locals chose the top load.

Here are a few things that make our top-loading experience along our way in our work more enjoyable and exciting:

The Nature!

We always chose top load when traveling by jeepney in the majestic mountains. This allowed us to take in the scenic beauty and fresh mountain air.

Nature's splendor awaits us on our journey. We are blind to the magnificent nature that surrounds us. The beautiful and lush green tall trees that surround the area catch our attention. The sun on our faces and the wind in our ears. The blue sky reflects in our eyes and brings us peace.

Riding on top of the jeepney up and down these narrow, twisty roads felt like a roller coaster ride.

The Lake Mapanuepe!

The Mapanuepe Lake is one of the highlights near our workplace. The lake formed as a result of Mt. Pinatubo's volcanic eruption. Despite all of the damage caused by the volcanic eruption, it was one of the most beautiful disasters in our region.

The Nipa Huts!

People in remote areas live a simple life, and the simple nipa hut provides them with a comfortable place to live. It made me happy to see that there are people who prefer to live a simple life in a remote location. They are living with a lot of contentment and fulfillment, and it amazes me that there are still people who live most simply and naturally.

Our Aeta Learners!

Along the way, we came across students walking through the school. We are overjoyed to see students walking patiently and without hesitation to understand the value of education in our lives. They are not bothered by the rough roads or the heat of the sun as they travel.

The Foods!

Snacks will make the trip more enjoyable. A food trip in the top load while admiring nature's beauty is priceless. The wonderful nature that surrounds us feels like it belongs in a movie or a fairytale. So a perfect snack is ideal for this type of adventure.

The Discussion!

While having the best adventure in the top-load, one thing that makes it even better is the conversation that my colleagues and I have. A lot of realizations and reflections have occurred to us along the way. This type of conversation about a wonderful experience became more meaningful. This is also one of our best bonding experiences, making our relationship happier and stronger.
