An Update from Us: What's Going on In the Hive Garden

in HiveGarden5 months ago

Hellooooo butterflies, bees and hummingbirds!

There's been a few little changes and goings on that this post aims to update you about. @riverflows has just got back from overseas and is keen to put on her gloves, @owasco has been keenly looking out for the best prepping posts and sprinkling a lot of love on #gardenjournals, and @minismallholding, when she's not climbing walls (literally) makes sure there's no slugs in the garden (more on this later).

Don't worry, we aren't going anywhere - we love this little green community and are supporting Hive gardeners as best we can - and hopefully we have a few more ways to encourage you to get involved!

The Fun Stuff...

🌶️ The #gardenjournal is still continuing, albeit slightly different. Check out the post this week - it comes out on the 1st and is our favourite time of the month.

🌶️ We've also got a weekly theme happening - similiar to the old #creativegarden format where each week gives you a new prompt. It comes out first thing Saturday morning in the southern hemisphere and on Fridays in the northern. If you find out at the end of the week, don't stress - this is about sharing not about deadlines, so write whenever you get around to it!

🌶️ Keep writing your prepping garden posts - @owasco has a keen eye on those! Use the tag #gardenprepper and write any time. Love your work!

Do You Want to Get Involved?

If you have an idea for the community, please let us know! We would welcome dedicated people to the team.

The Not as Fun Stuff

A Lot of Muting Going On

Just like unwanted pests eating our cabbages, we've had to mute quite a few posts and users for suspected vote farming. Please don't be that slug.

Are You A Good Hive Gardener Community Member?

We may have also muted your post if it's low quality. Do check the community rules as no one has time to explain why youve been muted.

  • English only, or English then your language. We find dual language posts messy and hard to read. You wouldn't find this format in any other publication. We love our global community, but it's far too hard to curate if posts are in multiple languages.

  • Please don't use AI to write your posts. Everyone who joins the community knows the rules. End of story.

Have a fantastic week of gardening and look forward to your participation soon!

Just checking if those are gardening or boxing gloves. 😜

Both! Actually I just got wetsuit gloves as the water is only 10 degrees and my fingers went white yesterday!

COLD!! I bet it's good to be back on the board, though.

After reading this I understand that I can make a bilingual post as long as the text is first in English and then down the translation to another language (something that seems good to me because with this people who are not English speakers have the opportunity to understand the content), I would like to clarify this because according to the rules of the community says that it should only be in English.
