The @peak.open team made changes to the backend of Hive Open Polls and we upgraded Peakd.com to work with those changes.
A big thanks to @borislavzlatanov of the Peak Open Projects who created the backend for polls. PeakD is just one of the UIs that presently supports Hive Open Polls. We invite all other UIs to integrate polls.
1 MULTI-CHOICE POLLS
Now when you make a poll you can choose how many choices a user can vote on for your poll.
You set the max number of choices and that means they can vote on as many poll choices they want up to the max.
The default will remain 1 (meaning each user can vote on one choice only)
2 VOTES BY HIVE POWER (Staked HIVE)
Besides seeing the results by the number of accounts voting on each choice, you can now see results by the combined Hive Power (Staked HIVE) of the voters on the poll.
You can see these results ANYTIME you want ... the option when creating a poll is to indicate what the poll creator cares most about and thus the default that the UI will show.
You can look at either type of result interpretation. The DEFAULT is what the poll creator chose.
3 SHOW RESULTS AFTER
For some polls you may prefer the users NOT see the results until after they vote.
This is what this poll setting will do... it will indicate to the UI that it should not show the users the results until after they've caa vote.

BTW the @peak.open team has a Open Genie wish incentivising HIVE OPEN POLLS integration into other sites. It's already on @ecency let's see it over on @hive.blog and some others. Who's doing upgrades over on Hive.blog these days @blocktrades @gandalf ? Is it still @quochy (sp?)

Already when the possibility of creating polls was first published, I was wondering if there would be a possibility of multiple selection.
I'm glad that @boriszlatanov was able to create it. And thanks to the Peakd team for immediately integrating this new feature into their frontend.
My polls for the Around The World competition will thus be more interesting for readers and judges.
The HP weighted votes is such a nice upgrade, this makes me really want to just check out random polls to see how much HP is voting on them :D
The multi choices allow for some creative stuff aswell, I'm yet to create my first poll, but I want my first one to be a good one, so I will wait a bit until I come up with a nice idea.
