When I start to see friends' posts at the beginning of December talking about how cold they are and how much snow they've had, it makes me thankful for the weather here where we live.
We live in one of the highest towns in Panama, close to the base of the largest volcano, Baru. Since we are also near the equator, the weather is basically the same all year long. Our temperatures range from mid 50s in the morning to mid 70s in the heat of the day. Never any snow. Never any hail. Never a tornado. Never super hot weather. It's considered the Land of Eternal Spring, and it really is.
In the month of December, we will have rainbows pretty much daily. We get wind sometimes, and sometimes it's peacefully still. We get very little, if any, rain during December, but plenty of sunny skies.
The sun comes up and goes back down at basically the same time every day of the year. It typically drifts about 30 minutes later in the morning in the months of December and January, but then it goes back to normal for the rest of the year. We typically have sun from 6am to 6pm.
We love it here. If we need warmer temperatures, we go down the mountain, but usually this weather is perfect for us. We love the sunrises and sunsets during this season. Each one is unique and beautiful!

It looks like the best weather is on December! Here it's cold, soggy and overcast most days in December, but there are other months that are wonderful. !BBH
I remember when my son was born 10 years ago in February, that it snowed, near Dallas, Texas, the day before and after he was born. I don't miss snow, ice, cold, tornadoes, hail, bad storms...but there are a lot of people who move here and miss snow. And a lot of Panamanians really want to SEE snow in their lifetime. It just won't happen here in Panama unless there's some drastic climate changes. 😉
The weather sounds simply sublime. We don't have snow, and our winters are mild, but summertime is awful with the humidity and heat.
I can see why you moved there!Oh wow @apanamamama, stunning photos of your beautiful Panama!
We do love it here and the weather definitely is a plus!
I'm sorry but I missed this really nice post until now but I've followed you so I'll see your next ones.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas and wish you and your family all the best for the new year ahead.
