Hello lovely creatives!
Starting next Monday on October 5th we are running a Foυr Weeĸ Coммυɴιтy Coммeɴт Drιve!!
We are challenging you to comment on at least 3 fellow needle artists’ posts every Monday. Those of you who comment will be entered into a drawing to win:
3 HBD!
Every week a new winner will be drawn and announced in our weekly featured showcase.
Rules for Eligibility
- Must comment on at least 3 separate needlework posts on Monday's in October (5th, 12th, 19th and 26th)
- The posts you comment on must have been submitted directly to the NeedleWorkMonday Community
- Must be a quality and thoughtful comment of support, encouragement and/or appreciation of what you read.
We will not accept generic comments such as “great job”, “nice work” “good read” etc. We are looking for more heartfelt and engaging responses.
Every Monday you comment in the community you will be eligible to enter the drawing for that week as long as you have followed the rules listed above.
We are hoping this challenge encourages you to interact more with your fellow needleworkers. Each of us knows how much work and heart we put into publishing our work. Receiving uplifting feedback of affirmation, support and appreciation goes a very long way. It motivates us to continue doing what we do ;)
Love this initiative. True engagement is important and also an inspiration to one another.
Absolutely it is! Most of us here are still around because of engagement, support and motivation given by our fellow needleworkers.
It’s what keeps us going ;)
Thanks so much for your feedback ~

Good idea to further comments and interaction, as I think we can only grow and thrive when we acknowledge and know each other (by their writing). Our community and its crafting/art preferences are so divers, I think we are a wonderful example as an community <3
Well said @neumannsalva! It’s always better when we genuinely support each other. I honestly think that it’s just a different time right now and so much has changed for many people.
I think this motivation is really called for and hope it does help a little.
Thanks for your input ~

Sigh... I really would love to speak English as good as GermanOhh nooo I hope I did not comment misleading: I love the idea of encouraging comments and sometimes it needs an incentive to kick-start interest into one another and perhaps to understand that hive (and especially @needleworkmonday) is more then simply writing alone for oneself. I could imagine that some participants are not aware that they do not need to write polished comments, but that genuine interest is more important.
No it wasn't misleading, I was agreeing with you. Just pretty much repeated what you were saying ;D
I love and appreciate your comment ~
Good to know, and I am relieved... it’s not so easy for me to get all the subtleties right <3
😘🤗🌸
Does it count even if we don't have a craft ourselves to post that week?
Also, !BEER
Hey @phoenixwren! So good to see you here! You don't have to have a craft for that week. You coming to support and comment is all ya need ;D
Thanks for stopping in with your question and also for the beer ~

Hello, thank you for this publication, it invites to share my feelings regarding the comments.
Sincerely, I miss the comments of the members of this community in the different posts and in mine. I remember that previously, I published my post and I dedicated myself to comment each one of the publications that were made in this community, it was fascinating the support with the comments, we solved problems of some concern that someone made, we encouraged each other. Nowadays, I keep commenting, most of the comments I make, are not answered, and sometimes, my comment is the only one in any post, that makes me sad.
I understand the purpose of this post, to encourage participation, I believe that there should not be a post that encourages commenting, the post itself should invite it, and if we are in a community, the natural thing is to SUPPORT US.
Even when I am not an expert writing in English, more if I read it, I make an effort to comment in English. I have been thinking for days about the community, my community NeedleWorkMonday and comparing it as it was before, and it is not, I think about what I should do to improve, and what comes to my mind is to support with my comments.
Regards.
Yes, I too really miss the interactions we all once had. However there a couple of factors I believe that have possibly changed that.
One thing is for sure we are in different times now and everyone has been affected by it in some way by what we've been facing. Secondly, everyone wants to be a content creator. While there is nothing wrong with that, it leaves very little time for writers to read other post and respond.
This is exactly true about the commenting should come naturally. I believe the comments from our community are natural and genuine but at the same time there is some encouragement needed that will help remind everyone to support by interacting as they would want that on their own post. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with having incentives to motivate people to comment like they used to.
Either way everyone will make their own decisions and decide for themselves whether they will interact more or not. We as administrators just want to do our part to try encouraging this love of interaction again. It’s happening everywhere and not just in this community.
Thank you so much for taking the time to pour out your heart and share your thoughts with us. It is truly appreciated all of the lovely warm comments you leave. I’ve been really enjoying your visits to my blog ~ 💕

it's a good idea to promote interaction between community members :)
Thank you @irenenavarroart! I definitely agree and hope it helps. I know sometimes that time might permit us but hopefully we as a community can all make more effort.
Motivation is what thrives us all!!
Thanks so much for your response ~

I absolutely adore this idea!! I like making comments a lot when I am reading the posts and I have already many proofs that this process is really worthy! You can learn a lot from comments and you can have fun too :)
I couldn't have said it better! It is a lot fun and we do learn so much more when we interact. I appreciate all of the engaging you have done. Keep it up, you never know just how much you are helping someone. 💕
Thank you for joining this convo and adding input ~

I love the idea, it is great and a great way to get to know and support each other, I hope that in this way we all encourage ourselves to do it and it becomes customary not only for the contest time!
Well said @marleyn! This is definitely a great way for us to get to know each other better. Especially now that we have so many new needleworkers that have joined us.
We only want this to encourage the natural engagement again. Sometimes we need that push to get back going again. Let's see how it goes ;)
Thanks so much for adding your thoughts ~
