I said writing daily is not necessary because it should be done as enjoyment and not as a burden. So if you really have something that you can share with everyone then write daily, but appreciating other authors daily is so important because only then will your world flourish in this hive universe.

Advice for those starting on hive and ecency.
If you have a job you do, having a focus in your content creation helps you with number 2.
Sometimes you'll not get support, sometimes you'll get overwhelming support. Stick with what you are doing... Weather the storm.

About number 1, I agree but also slightly disagree.
I mean, it would be great if you have a niche and you stick to it but it's also something limitating. It's better to have the freedom of writing about whatever we want at the moment without the fear of stepping outside that niche.
You have the freedom to write about anything...
But having a niche... Gives you focus especially if you already have a job. If you have time on your hands... Then fire away at any and everything

I'm still learning about tags usage. I mean, I normally use tags related to my post, but there are other tags that are commonly used but I don't know how they work.
So far so good, itz been funfare here @ecency advent holiday calender......and i'm loving it....
For Todays challenge my three main point to newbies on Hive and on @ecency is also my practical breakthrough since when i started some years ago
1 Make @ecency your favourite front-end, For all you Activities on #hive, from content creation, to engagements, to reblogs, to upvotes all these earn you @ecency point which you can use to boost your account, promote your content for more visibility and higher curation rewards.
2: Engagement is very Key, spend time digesting others content, leave a noteworthy comments and replies on their post and do same on yours, reblog follow and upvotes content and account that appeals to you and that resonate with your niche this way its easy to learn alongside and grow.
3: Be Authentic, Be Original, be creative. Be Real, be Open, be free and have fun in your content, hive smiles at the very ordinary simple ways and happenings of life, don't fake it, don't push it, go easy with Steeze๐....
And hey PLAGIARISM IS A BIG BIG OFFENSE hive frowns at it, it make him sad๐....so don't try it, source your images and text properly should you opt to highlight..

I don't know how to use discord ๐ I just have shared links to my posts on some channels but not much more.
Its easy friend.. just go to Google play store and download this app. After that in most community sites you can see join our Discord channel and you very well can join them. Aftetwhich you can interact with them, clear your doubts etc. All the best.
My advice for new people on Ecency or Hive in general.
Find yourself a community that you fit into (doesn't have to be only 1, I'd say around 3-5 Communities is optimal to be committed to).
Be consistent.
It's ok to take breaks, but especially at the start, you would want to check in on the communities you are apart of every now and then.
Follow people who share news.
I think it's important to keep up with the news of the platform or within your community.

1 You must read and inform yourselves about the rules of the community you select before writing as well as about the functioning of the network, hive is in continuous growth and evolution.
Although there are rules that are general for the entire blockchain, each community has its own specifications, in terms of language, length of text, focus of the subject matter, etc.
You should also know how ecency works, what you can earn by publishing from ecency and how by interacting from ecency you can grow and strengthen your voting power.
2 Interacting with the community
Read and comment on other hiver's posts, as well as respond to the comments they make, it is important to be respectful, bullying, aggressive or obscene language is not tolerated.
As long as you make this a habit you will enjoy this interaction and make good friends.

Well, I'm also a newbie around here and I still don't know everything about Ecency or Hive, but these are my advices.
Not only votes matters. Make sure to comment on other people's posts too so you can engage with them. It will help you to make others to notice you and you'll make new friends. Waves are also a good way to engage with people.
Make good quality posts. Don't post something just for posting it. Use the markdown codes to make it look nice and to make it easy to read.
Power Up your Hive tokens as much as possible. This will help you to have more HP and Resource Credits (RC) so you can interact more with Hive Blockchain.
Extra - Use the free spinner every day on Ecency so you can get free Ecency Points daily. When you get 1500 Ecency Points you can buy a 200 HP Delegation from Ecency for a week and it is very helpful for newcomers.
That is everything I can think of right now. I hope these advices to be helpful.

#1: Make sure to enjoy your experience on Hive. This will help you increase the feeling good factor, and as a result, you will enjoy even more writing on Hive and engaging with other members of the community.
#2: Make an effort to improve your writing every time. This will help you feel better, and be more appreciated by other Hivers.
#3: Make sure to follow the guidelines and rules of each community, and the various Hive platforms and applications, in general.
