Hi! Today I would like to share you guys a delicious way to cook Beef Lo Mein which is the the traditional Chinese favorite dish. These are a type of classic dish that very popular and favorite across the world.😃
The first step is to make a simple marinade for thinly sliced flank steak for about 15 minutes, and transfer the beef steak to a hot pan, and cook until browned. Then remove the steak and place the cabbage, carrot, napa cabbage, Chinese kale and red onions. Lastly, add the noodles and cooked steak to the pan and toss everything together with savory sauce.
This Beef Lo Mein recipe is very simple, and there are a few typically Chinese seasoning sauce are requires, such as Shaoxing wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil are all indispensable in terms of cooking Chinese food. Just the small amount of those sauce will pay off beautifully. 🍜
With all those fragrance seasoning sauce will keeps the beef steak tender and gives it that beautiful caramelized color that will satisfy our taste buds with every bite.
This Beef Lo Mein is so simple and super easy! That's perfectly on a mid-week meal, which I would like to slow down and take a rest but still wanna produced delicious meal. 🌞
INGREDIENTS!
FOR THE BEEF AND MARINADE :
- 350 Gram Beef Steak
- 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Rice Bran Oil
- 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
FOR THE STIR-FRIED :
- 500 Gram Fresh Lo Mein Noodles
FOR THE VEGGIE
- 2 Clove Garlic
- 1/2 Carrot
- 1 Cup Cabbage
- 1 Cup Napa Cabbage
- 1 Cup Chinese Kale
- 1 Cup Red Onion
FOR THE SEASONING
- 2 Tablespoon Rice Bran Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Dark Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
INSTRUCTIONS FOR BEEF LO MEIN
MARINATE THE BEEF :
- Place the strips of beef in a plate with Cornstarch, Soy Sauce,
Shaoxing wine, Sesame Oil, and Teaspoon Pepper. Then set aside to marinate for about 15-30 minutes.
PREPARE THE NOODLES
- Blanched the noodles into the boiled water.
- Rinse with cold running water and set aside.
COOK TIME
- Place the pan over medium-high, and add Rice Bran Oil to coat the pan, then sear each side for about 30 seconds.
- Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
STIR-FRIED STEP
- Add another oil and get along with the garlic, and carrots.
- Quickly add the Chinese Kale Stem.
- Add the cabbage and stir-fried for about 30 seconds.
- Add the napa cabbage, red onions, and the leaves of the Chinese Kale. Then stir-fried for another 20 seconds.
- And the beef and also add the juices from marinade that cooked before.
- Add Soy Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce and Oyster Sauce.
- Continue stir-frying and add sesame oil.
- Continue stir-frying until the all the ingredients is thoroughly mixed.
Plate and serve with homemade chili oil on the side!
