It was a Sunday miracle yesterday morning. Man Utd managed to ACTUALLY win a game! Everton imploded and Utd got a lucky break which led to the 4-0 routing.
I found the NanoVNA app for phones and managed to get it installed on mine which plugs into the VNA and works perfectly! I'm quite stoked on it now that I can do tests at the antennas without having to have my laptop with for the more in depth data. I found a bunch of varied instructions from lots of different Hams and have a pretty okay understanding of what I'm doing with it now. I didn't work on the antenna during the day as I am still designing the mounting hardware for the rotator.
I found a design for dart flights and gave it a try. They came out looking good and threaded onto my darts but holy shit is PLA brittle. They all snapped on the first throw.... lol. I need a more flexible type pf plastic to work with if I want to print flights.
The Seahawks played the Jets and what a shit show of a game. Talk about a comedy of errors... Both teams played like utter garbage and made some truly retarded mistakes. In the other miracle of the morning they managed to eek out the win over the Jets.
While the game went on I got to work on putting together the ski waxing vises I printed out. I had to cut the all thread down to length and with a light grind on each cut the nuts spun on with ease.
It took a while to get the parts together correct as I had to screw nuts down long lengths. In the end the vises came out really nice but they are a bit flimsy as I had printed them with light infill and they should have been done solid infill. They have a bit of flex to them but once on the table and the skis in them they should be fine.
I found a nifty manual turntable that I got printed out.
What blew my mind with it is the gear printed out so it was free spinning as soon as I picked it up. Pretty damn cool. I'd like to fix it to a board, put a small motor, battery, switch setup on it and make it electric powered.
My new headlamp is INSANE! I went to go put the birds in and this was the darkness level outside.
This is with the flood and spot.
THIS is with the spot on turbo! I can see the top of the hillside which is about 220 feet away. The lowest setting is the "moonlight" level and it is still more than bright enough to see 40 feet away.
Found a spinning toy to print out and it came out great except for the inner shaft was wrong size. I've got to print them out with the shaft reduced in diameter a bit.
J printed out another plate for the planter and the benders. The boys painted the benders before bed but only got the gray done.
I got time soaking. Realized it is the jets that kill my skin so without them on I was able to soak for longer.
Woke to the printer fucked up this morning, it got the blob of death on the nozzle overnight and shutdown. I have to try and clean it today which will not be easy. Boys to school soon, it's low 20s F at nights now but clear in the day, I need to get on the wood on the hill and move rounds, try and figure out my tower problem, test my antenna better, as always cleaning and organizing, then figure out dinner this evening.
(I swapped for some HBD this morning so I am now just 180 shy of my goal for the year, which minus the interest I will get means I need about 130 to hit my goal so I will have to try and do 4 per day to savings to hit it right over the 30 days.)
