Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm feeling great! We're finally on Christmas break, and I'll have more time to read, sleep, play games, and go out. I hope you're all having a fantastic time and lots of fun this Christmas season too.
In my last week of classes, we presented a chemistry project as the final project for the first term of the school year. Our project is related to cosmetology, and we chose to create a body lotion using natural ingredients. My friends and I love everything related to makeup and skincare, and we thought this would be our ideal project.

Our project advisor accepted our idea, and we got to work. Our challenge was to create a moisturizing body lotion formulated with sunflower seed oil.
Our goal was to develop a lotion using 100% natural ingredients that would hydrate and soften the skin.
Since we didn't know how to make the base cream, an aunt of one of my classmates helped us make it, but we made the rest of the ingredients ourselves. It took us about a week shelling sunflower seeds and grinding them until we got a good amount of sunflower oil.
Then we added yellow food coloring for a touch of color, vanilla extract, a pinch of coconut oil, and finally some glitter.

It turned out great! We gave the project presentation and the teacher loved it.
I brought some cream to give to my mom, and she says that since she started using it, her life has changed. My classmates and I are quite the entrepreneurs in the cosmetology industry.

En mi última semana de clases presentamos un proyecto de química en el cierre de proyecto del primer lapso del año escolar y nuestro proyecto tiene que ver con cosmetología, elegimos crear una loción corporal a base de ingredientes naturales. Mis compañeras y a mí nos encanta todo lo relacionado con el maquillaje y el cuidado de la piel y se nos ocurrió que este sería nuestro proyecto ideal.

Nuestra tutora de proyecto aceptó nuestra idea y nos pusimos manos a la obra. Teníamos el reto de realizar una Loción Corporal Hidratante formulada a base del aceite de las semillas de Girasol.
Nuestra meta elaborar una loción utilizando ingredientes 100% natural que hidrate y suavice la piel.
Debido a que no teníamos conocimiento de cómo elaborar la crema base, nos ayudó una tía de una de mis compañeras a elaborarla, pero el resto de los ingredientes si lo hicimos nosotras, duramos como una semana pelando semillas de girasol y moliéndolas hasta que conseguimos una cantidad adecuada de aceite de girasol.
Posteriormente le echamos colorante amarillo, para darle un toque de color, esencia de vainilla, una pizca de aceite de coco y por último un poco de escarcha.

Nos quedó genial, hicimos la presentación del proyecto y a la profesora le encantó.
Me traje crema para regalarle a mi mamá y me dice que desde que la está usando su vida ha cambiado. Es que mis compañeras y yo somos unas grandes empresarias de la cosmetología.
