This is the story of a 24 hour film-making adventure in the mythical kingdom called, Chicago.
This strange piece of film is not entirely my fault. It was a group effort. There was a film fest called the Fast Forward Film Festival. In addition to having a very clever name, the FFFF would regularly gather in Chicago to host 24 hour film events.
The group decided that if we were gunna win this silly competition, we were gunna do it with laughter. It had to be a comedy. We needed something really bizarre; something strange to get the attention of the judges. Someone suggested that we, "have someone run around the city in their underwear..."
The next obvious question was, "who are we gunna get to run around the city in their underwear?"
"What about the new intern?"
"Sammy?"
"Yeah, Sammy."
"Hey Sammy! You wanna run around the city in your underwear?"
"Sure."
...and the rest was history.
Shot this little gem on the Sony PD150. Edited it on FCP. We made the deadline and won first place. The prize was a video camera and a bag of coffee beans. Sammy got the camera and the rest of us got the beans.
