In a faraway land, there lived a beautiful girl Oyinlola. Oyinlola lived with her parents and siblings, she was so beautiful that the whole town admired her and everyone wanted to be her friend.
However, as beautiful as Oyin was, she was lazy. Oyin was extremely lazy, she couldn't do house chores nor run errands. Her parents made matters worse by pampering her as she was the most beautiful of their children.

Oyin grew up and bossomed into a beautiful young woman but she was as lazy as ever. She couldn't wash her own clothes, her siblings or mother did her laundry for her. Her father was secretly worried about this, as much as he loved and pampered her, he knew if she couldn't take care of herself on her own she would have problems. But Oyin's mother did not mind, she would rather go to fetch water herself than allow her precious daughter walk in the sun.
One fateful day,Oyin was away to play with her bossom friend in another town. A sudden tragedy befell Oyin's town, her parents and siblings were killed in the insurgence. A lot of people died including some of her relatives as well but some fled. Oyin's only surviving brother was also able to eacape.
Oyin wept for days, she had no one. Her friend's mother tried to take her in completely but her friend's father was against it. After several days of being treated like an outcast, Oyin began to think of how to escape.
She remembered she had suitors. There was a particular rich young man who constantly visited her parents when they were alive. She decided to go to him, he could take care of her if she marries him.
About three weeks later, Oyin was married to Iyi. Iyi was a rich young business man however he never revealed his type of business to Oyin. Oyin didn't care as well. She only wanted to leave her friend's house where her friend's father treated her like a plague. Iyi has noticed that his wife was lazy but he needed a beautiful wife to show off so he kept up with her. He got her maids and stewards to do all she needed to do in the house. He made sure she was drugged every night, so she wouldn't know what he did at midnight.
One night, Iyi was out as usual and Oyin had earlier wondered why he was always out at night and why she found it difficult to stay awake to wait for him. Earlier, he told her he had to monitor his goods which often came in at night. But this particular night, Oyin refused to eat , she was not hungry and she couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned on the bed, wondering why her husband had to go out every midnight.
She decided to wait up for him, it was not too long before she heard him enter the house. She was about to rush out to meet him when she saw what terrified her.
He held a gun and two of the stewards in the house too, held their own guns. She saw bundles of money being shared and she began to panick. Calling out to her husband, she screamed and burst into tears. She was married to a thief.
Iyi was not pleased that she had seen him with guns. Every night , he instructs one of the stewards to drug her. She must have avoided the drugged food now she had his secet. He immediately had her bound and kept in a room. He did not plan to kill her but he didn't want her leaking his secret so he locked her up and Oyin became her husband's prisoner.
Several years passed and despite her pleas, Oyin was not allowed to see the light of day. All Iyi did was feed her and sleep with her. Oyin gradually lost hope and began to wish for death.
Then one day, help came for her. Oyin's sister who escaped the insurgence had been looking everywhere for her. Having survived, acquired education and gotten a good source of income, she felt the need to search for Oyin. It was Oyin's friend that led her to Iyi's house.
Realising that Iyi's house was under strict surpervision and no one had heard from Oyin, Oyin's sister sought the help of a detective.
It was discovered that Iyi is not only an armed robber but a notorious asassin and fraudster who often operated under different identities.
Oyin was freed and although she re-united with her sister, she was placed in a rehabilitation center. She declared to her sister, that her life probably would have been better if she hadn't been lazy, looking for the easy way.
