Today I received this call from Amy Graham, East Kootenay Adoptions Worker for MCFD (Ministry of Children and Families in BC) and her ridiculous reasoning as to they WHY they can keep my almost 10yo daughter forever and never see MOM and her BROTHERS AGAIN! Blackmailing me if I dont sign their "openness" agreement and be OKAY with them keeping her.....I will never see her again. If I dont agree to their terms!
There is no reasoning for this whatsoever. I havent had a MCFD issue in over 4 years since I left the bad relationship. PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE, also on Facebook @mcfd-legal-kidnapped which is SHARABLE AS WELL. Lets get this story all over...and the excuses these people use, their opinions on WHY they can keep our children, and rather then admit failure on their part, they alienate her in hopes that she will forget us all.....In fact the excuses she has used are 3rd grade. She would have a very good poker face, as lies seem to come very easily for anyone in their offices.
I will never give up on my girl....nomatter how many years pass, I am still her mother, and somehow, someway, we will be reunited....I dont know how but I am hopeful of more doors opening and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.....it might be dim today, but its there. MCFD has more power then anyone in the world, more money then all of us, they will fight to keep our children, and dont give in. There is no such thing as "keeping families together" I dont even know where they came up with that slogan! I have worked harder then most to overcome trauma, abuse at the hands of a psycho bi-polar addict.....and still living with that I was a good, great mother to all 3 of my kids back then. I am by far from perfect, and my kids have had silly issues as kids do....now the oldest has a great job at a logging company I am very proud of him, my youngest son who thankfully we saved from MCFD and he has always been with me, is doing really well also....I am proud of my boys, and myself...!

the system needs to be reviewed....to question the validity of many cases on a case by case basis, to ask MCFD WHY they are doing what they are doing to some of our kids. ITS WRONG. GIVE US BACK OUR KIDS! Tell me, if there is CURRENTLY NO REASON to keep a child from her family....MOTHER.....then wouldnt it make sense to give her back, if you can sit here today and see my life.....you too would ask MCFD WHY they keep her from us? WHY?

These Social Workers are so heartless, and it is not only towards you. What is more disturbing is how heartless they are to the children -- to your daughter in foster care and towards your teenage son and adult son who also had their sibling relationships with their sister shattered.
How could it possibly be considered in a child's best interest to never let them have contact with a family that loves them and desperately want to communicate that love to each other?
That woman kept saying that it was not in your daughters best interest to let her know that you loved her!!!!
So disgusting.

Just an idea here. Would it be possible to have a contact number for Amy Graham? Perhaps a flood of calls to her office could put some pressure on, have a positive effect in your favor. Just a thought.
