- The Governor of Aceh Irwandi Yusuf acknowledged that he was spreading the information that Abdullah Puteh's letter to Commander of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) Tgk Abdullah Syafi'i, contained a microchip.
Irwandi's acknowledgment was submitted to Serambinews.com in Jakarta on Thursday (1/3/2018) shortly after meeting the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucracy Reform (Menpan RB), in Jakarta.
"Yes, I am the one who makes the information so, it's war time, ha ha .. ha," he said with a laugh.
He recalled that at the time, he was informed that Abdullah Puteh, who was then Governor of Aceh, sent a letter to Tgk Abdullah Syafi'i.
Shortly after the letter was sent by the governor, Tgk Abdullah Syafi'i was shot dead by TNI personnel. Irwandi then concocted the story that, Tgk Abdullah Syafi'i can be traced to him because in the letter Abdullah Puteh embedded microchip.
"Of course it is not true, because I only made up the story, at that time we were at war," Irwandi said.
previously, Abdullah Puteh, the governor of Aceh during the period of 2000-2004, in the launching of the book "Jejak Setapak in Tanah Rencong" tells about the false information spread by Irwandi Yusuf.
"Behind me just know that who said my letter there is a microchip is Mr. Irwandi Yusuf," said Puteh.
Tgk Abdullah Syafi'i passed away on January 22, 2002 in an ambush and armed contact in the Jim-jiem hills, Bandar Baru, Pidie Jaya.
Puteh is pleased to publish a book containing her story during the lead of Aceh, including her support to GAM.
"There are a lot of stories to tell, including how much I help the GAM people," he said excitedly
