it does indeed show that there's strong demand for bitcoin. them setting up a ponzi scheme to profit from it, is of course a bad thing, but that's what wall street does. they do the same with any commodities (farm produce, mining ore, whatever...). that's capitalism right there: making money on the backs of those who have the know-how, do the actual work, take the actual risk, etc...
