“I don't like work--no man does--but I like what is in the work--the chance to find yourself. Your own reality--for yourself not for others--what no other man can ever know. They can only see the mere show, and never can tell what it really means.”― Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness
The quote above resonates with Mother Teresa's quote,
“Work without love is slavery.”
Work by itself is burdensome, tiring and even boring. But if you like what is in the work, and enjoy the process, you will begin to see a big change of perspective. You will start to think beyond work, think big thoughts, and aim to make an impact in every aspect of our lives.

Every day people choose dead-end jobs and careers, and then wonder in their twilight years where or what went wrong. Some people spent their entire life settling for a job as long as the pay fits their bills. It's normal, we find security when we have a stable job and a steady check, but oftentimes at the expense of our dreams and passions.
By definition, work is an activity which one do regularly to earn money. Of course, we need to work to be able to provide for our families, our needs, and our dreams. But the good thing is that we can both pursue our passions and dreams while we work (or not).

Life is too short to spend your time doing things that make you gag. Settling for a dead-end job will only lead to burnout, and you will lose both time and opportunity. So pursue the job that you've always dreamed of, make it happen, and you will never have to work the rest of your life.
“Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else.” ― J.M. Barrie
