Chinese Lanterns 年味--灯笼

During the Spring Festival,the best view in the street is enjoyment of lanterns, which is a traditional custom. And it has been developed as a social and cultural phenomenon. There are many beautiful lanterns hanging on both sides of the street. Seen from a distance,they looked like stars shining in the sky at night, and increased some warm for the holiday.

过年期间走在大街上最好看的风景就是赏灯了。宽阔的马路两旁张灯结彩，挂着一排排五彩缤纷的灯。远远望去，就像天空中的繁星，照耀着大地，给节日里增添了许多温暖。两边高高挂起的红灯笼，更是把节日烘托得红红火火。

Chinese lanterns have a long history, as early as 1800 years ago in the Western Han Dynasty. Every year, during the Spring Festival , there are many activities of watching lanterns. And the big round lanterns we usually see symbolize a festive holiday atmosphere. The streets and small alleys, no matter the noisy city or the quiet country, are full of their beautiful shapes.

中国挂灯笼是有着悠久的历史的，早在1800多年前的西汉时期就有了。每年春节到正月十五元宵节这段时间里，都有很多赏花灯的活动。而我们平时见的大圆灯笼又象征着节日里团团圆圆的喜庆气氛。大街小巷，无论喧闹的城市还是寂静的乡村，都有它们美丽的身影。

When I was a child, every Spring Festial, my father used to hang big red lanterns in front of our house, which not only lighted but also express the atmosphere of celebrating the Spring Festival. I still remember that he made some octagonal lanterns for us, and they were so beautiful, outside was hollowed-out wood,inside was paper,added in candle, I could enjoy it with my friends at night. however, it was weak and was blown out by the wind easily.

Now to be safe, people put electronic lamp instead of candle in the lantern. And the craftsmanship is more and more exquisite. The color is not limited to the red, but also are colorful. These beautiful lanterns attract countless people to come to watch. In the spring, we were very impressed by them and have a good memory.

小时候每逢春节，爸爸也总会在老家屋檐下挂上大红灯笼，不仅仅用于照明，更多的是表现一种过年的气氛。印象中，爸爸还给我们做过八角灯笼，外面是镂空的木框，里面贴了厚厚的纸板，装上蜡烛，到了晚上，就可以提着它和小伙伴们在外面玩了。只是这种纸做的灯笼，很容易坏，也容易被风吹灭。

现在更多为了安全起见，里面装的都是led 那种小灯了。而且制作工艺也越来越精致，颜色也不仅仅局限于红色，还有这些色彩艳丽，造型优美的灯笼，吸引了无数人前来观看，在春天来临之际，给我们留下了美好的回忆。
