Once upon a future

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Today is the once upon a time and tomorrow the future.
Before we look at what a better future would be, an agreement needs to be met on what needs to be changed today.

There are needs or wants to change many things - poverty, medical needs, water needs, Global and local environment,
corruption, a business with more rights then a person, the criminal system, the overuse of fossil fuels, the double standards to white collar crime vs all others, basically most everything we can agree on in general terms as better for the population or worse. You can add to this list continuously and each of us would have a better idea of what should be done 1st.

Those are the things we need to overcome, and put some effort toward a future for our children their children and the next generations to come. People will stand up and agree possibly with this. How many are actually willing to try make a change to the current systems we are restricted to work within. There is quantity of advertisement online and in news media is exploding about Crypto and Blocklchain. Financial institutions and other big corporations are also looking at the crypto even some governments are looking to control the crypto environment.

When a point has been reached, and some crypto currency eventually establish themselves, reducing the need for FIAT currency. What will have changed, who will be in charge? Right now it appears the same who now control most everything we can see as wrong with the system, will remain in control. Too many want to get rich quick, the same ole same ole I'm all right Jack, FU.

I do not think the blockchain tech was intended to make people wealthy like it has done for some. Those who have already made their fortune and are now comfortable. Are they doing anything else for the community now. do they live a life of luxury and not worry about finances anymore? Are they now global travellers? or have they moved on to other personal ambitions. or stayed within the crypto environment and now just play markets to grab a higher bank balance.

When you make your fortune, What would you do? continue to work? concentrate on a hobby? play video games all day long? Personally I think the majority of those who reach their financial goal, will continue to be productive in their lives, and would not become couch potato's. But how many will give back to where they gained their fortune, I think it would be safe to say less then 1%.

What if they was a possibility of reducing the costs of living, Every year the price of everything seems to go up? why is this, Those who will say inflation, I say bollox to that. Lets suppose, You start a business and it makes a profit. In making that profit means your initial investment has been returned, that outlay will not be needed again in the second year. so why is it not cheaper for the same product the next year, why is it more expensive? Why is an Iphone 600 dollar when it costs 40 dollar to make one? Why do these products never get cheaper?

It's a good post, solidly written. The fact that I agree with you makes it all the more so.
