Nope. My argument is if I am forced to allow trespassers to be in my nation, then that is no different than forcing me to allow them into my home. This is especially true when I am also forced to pay for their education, their food, and their lodging. That list could be bigger, but the ones I listed should suffice to make my point.
You see the issue with Trump and many other people is NOT against immigration. It is against trespassing and invasion. If their are laws, enforce them.
The thing about DACA for example. That is not about cancelling a LAW. DACA is not a law. It was a memo indicating they were going to stop enforcing the LAW which isn't exactly legal in the first place.
So anyone against DACA is basically at the base saying enforce the LAW.
If there is going to be a LAW to allow trespassers to enter our country on a whim and force enslave the citizens to then clothe, feed, house, and employ them then that should be passed as an actual LAW or Amendment to the constitution.
Then at least the citizens will at least know which politicians to FIRE when it comes election time if they are not keen to being forced to do these things.
The entire argument of this post was to simply show the hypocrisy of people like Nancy Pelosi and other mega rich people in demanding that the rest of us allow criminals. Yes, they can ALL be called that if they are illegal immigrants as they broke the law and trespassed.
If we are then being enslaved to them, and they are getting special treatment then it could also be considered an invasion. This is especially true if they have no intentions of integrating, and instead want to force us to adapt to their desires. (I am not saying all illegal immigrants are this).
I am not anti-immigration. As long as it is merit based, and limited not to take away from citizens that are already here. As long as those immigrating here are immigrating here to be part of our communities, our society, etc rather than coming here to remake our communities, and society into something closer to where they left.
I am against the government forcing me to take care of anyone else. Though I very much support voluntarily doing so. My wife and I have helped quite a few people we didn't have to at the expense of our own family. So I am not advocating not helping people. I am advocating not dragging people on to the raft when we are not taking care of the people that are already on it. All that leads to is sinking.
"I am against the government forcing me to take care of anyone else. Though I very much support voluntarily doing so."
I'm with you on this, but I don't think the federal government has any legitimate right to decide who goes where. If you or I own property and choose to rent it out or sell it to illegal immigrants, then anyone who claims the right to evict them from that property is claiming to be the true owner of the property in question. It's ultimately a matter of socialism versus capitalism. Government controlled borders and deportation depend on government ownership of everything inside those borders and the rejection of our individual property rights.
It's certainly wrong that your money is forcibly taken to provide for illegal immigrants, but the people enforcing that are the ones who should be held accountable. Supporting the people who have so abused you and demanding that they also abuse illegal immigrants is counterproductive.
"If their are laws, enforce them."
If a law is unethical, then enforcing it is wrong. Following orders or following the law is no excuse for acting unethically. Each of us is still responsible for our own actions.
