KEEP THE RIGHT COMPANY

in #christianity7 years ago

The state of one's life now and the shape one's life will eventually take depends largely on the quality of persons one spends a majority of his or her time with.

In the process of getting David ready for the throne, God made a way for him to get acquainted with Jonathan who was the king's son. That relationship prepared David for royalty in many ways that one!

It is often said that if you show a person your friend, he can infer with a great degree of accuracy who you are but I agree with the more current version of that saying which goes: "show me your friend and I will show you your future."

It is not good for man to be alone yet it is better to be alone than to be in the wrong company. Dinah, the only daughter of Jacob can express this better!

Company is only good when it is right, productive, encouraging, goal driven and purposeful.
Being with the wrong set of people can be the greatest undoing of one's life!

"He that walks with the wise shall be wise but a companion of fools shall be destroyed" (Prov 13:20).
"Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance if his friend.." (Prov 27:17)
"Do not be deceived. 'evil communication corrupts good habits." (1 Cor 15:33)
