Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God."

The Beatitudes

Matthew 5:1-12

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God."

my friend there is a new post.wow this is really great my friend @pilgrimtraveler,

I cannot be pure in heart on my own but I can trust in the finished work of Jesus at the cross to give me the strength and faith that I am pure in heart in Christ Jesus!

These words are so true and are available for us today. Amen!

With purity, we see God for who He really is and also start to see Him in others too. Love this verse.

This is so inspiring. God bless you

There is a tradition in our church: at the New Year's Eve service each one of us picks a Bible verse from a basket. We keep that verse close to our hearts for the whole year. And for 2018, Matthew 5:8 is my verse. So this post reminded me of what God wants from me this year. Thank you.

Keep posting bible verses! This is great!

The beattitudes! thanks for this reminder

hello brothers and friends of steemit, I am new in this platform where they share many good things but I love the sacred scriptures and I like to learn and share from the bible. Thank you pilgrimtraveler for such a beautiful sermon of Jesus Christ on the mountain that reaches the heart.

We should all pray for the homeless children around the world like the ones in the Philippines who are referred to as 'street kids'. Many of them sleep right on the sidewalk and if they are lucky, they have a piece of cardboard to lay on.

Some of these kids are under the age of 10 and living on the streets. There must be a way to help these children more with so much wealth in the world.

I love your heart warming image and the amazing promises of God for those who have a pure heart @pilgrimtraveler

"Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God." Amen

I always think the innocents have a special place in his heart.

Lets help these children. Do you have any ideas?
