Hi, Is Daddy Home? (TEMPLE THOUGHTS )

1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Because of the immoralities of the sons of Eli, and the apostasy of the entire nation, the presence of God left the ark of covenant, but the priests did not know. Actually, the presence of God left the whole nation, and they were defeated by their enemy. Instead of seeking the Lord in repentance, they took the empty ark from Shiloh, hoping to wave it like a magic wand at the battlefield, but alas, the glory had departed. Of course Israel was again defeated and the ark was captured by the Philistines. ( 1Sam,4, 1-11 )

In the house of Dagon, God returned to His temple and the power of His presence broke the abomination of the philistines to pieces. Dagon and it’s followers suffered from the hands of God until the ark was fearfully returned to Israel.

Every believer is a temple, and the Holy Spirit Of God should be present in us, but God is Holy and He does not co exist with iniquity. A defiled temple then, is therefore like the empty ark, it does not contain the Holy presence and therefore can be afflicted by the enemy.

The Bible says, “if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Our individual experience and expression of Christianity should be more powerful, if we allow Him to richly indwell us. Yes we are all His temples, but let us make sure that Daddy is at home.
