In our community, which is located in the suburbs of Kampala (Uganda's Capital ), we as the youths organise a general cleaning of the community streets on every first Sunday of the month under our charity organisation.
This is done with the aim of improving sanitation among residents as one of the ways to control dangerous diseases such as Ebola and Cholera which breakout as a result of poor sanitation measures.
Here in Uganda, the local government can't extend such services up to the suburbs of the City due to limited funds. So, we as the community members have to get a solution to make our own society clean and admirable.
Cleanliness for better health care is what will reduce the spread of malaria which is a killer disease in most tropical African countries. Today's activities included, collecting garbage, cleaning trenches, sweeping streets and lastly teaching residents on how to practise good hygiene.
Even though we have limited resources such as the protective gear like, gumboots, industrial gloves, more wheelbarrows....this will not stop us from making our community a better place!

Great work bro!
