Lviv Festivals in 2018

Lviv is a city of festivals. Here every weekend is music, every autumn you can enjoy the taste of chocolate, cheese and wine, visit the largest publisher forum and see the stage performances just on the street. I present to you all the festivals of Lviv, which will take place in 2018.

1. "Reduktor" Festival
Friends and just lovers of rock. Cold winter does not rest, it is not able to wait for summer warm festival days? There is a catastrophic lack of "alternative" in the blood? Then I have good news for you! One day, 6 bands, 5 hours of fun, enjoyment and a wonderful rock. For you will be Space of Variantions, Milky Way (CH.SH), Farinhate, Dash, Twelves and Wasted Heroes.

Event date: April 14th.

2. "RAZOMFEST" Festival
Razomfest 2018 is the 5th-anniversary festival, which combines music, literature and travel. The festival will be held May 12-13 in Lviv.For you, on May 12, O.Torvald, Pianoboy, Latexfauna and Паліна Рэспубліка will play. May 13 - Literature and Travel! Participants: Yuriy Izdryk, Andriy Lyubka, Max Kidruk, Ivan Baidak, Yuri Vinnychuk, Insiders project, Two-wheeled Chronicles.

Event date: May 12-13.

3. "Craft Beer & Vinyl Music Festival 2018"
In the format of the forum-exhibition Craft Beer & Vinyl Music Festival 2018 will meet brewers, owners of pubs, suppliers and producers of raw materials, equipment and everything from which the brewing culture is formed. A pleasant addition to the festival will be the exhibition of vinyl of Ukrainian collectors, special equipment and music.

Event date: 4-6 May.

4. The International Jazz Festival "Leopolis Jazz Fest 2018"
The international festival Leopolis Jazz Fest is a jazz festival, which takes place annually in the open-air format in Lviv. The title sponsor of the festival until 2018 was "Alfa-Bank Ukraine", in connection with which the festival was named Alfa Jazz Fest. In 2017, it was decided to rename the festival to Leopolis Jazz Fest, indicating the venue. Here will feature Marcus Miller, Lars Danielsson, Jamie Callum, Stefano Bollani.

Event date: June 27 - July 1.

5. International Ethnic Festival of Folklore "Etnovir"
This year, for the first time in Lviv at the festival "Etnovir" will perform teams from Peru, Paraguay and Indonesia. The features of the Peruvian ethnic group will be represented by "Ritmos del Tiempo" - a folklore organization that promotes the culture of its country. The repertoire of the collective includes traditional performances from different regions of Peru, Peruvian percussion instruments. The "Ritmos del Tiempo" ensemble was founded in 2012. Since then, 45 dancers and 12 musicians have been trying to save the value of folklore in Peru. They have already demonstrated their skills in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and other countries.

6. X anniversary festival "Zaxidfest"
Music of different taste, incredible atmosphere, beautiful Ukrainian nature, friendly smiling people and good memories - all this you will get from the festival Zaxidfest. There will be music for everyone - scenes that work simultaneously and independently of each other will give the maximum charge emotions in non-stop mode. The territory is fenced and guarded. Stations for charging phones, parking for cars, guarded, lighting at night. 220 toilets, 120 field showers, emergency services.

Event date: August 24-26, 2018.

7. "Lviv Ancient"
Lviv Ancient - an international festival of medieval culture in Lviv, designed to immerse guests into the atmosphere of the 15th century, an era of prosperity of the city. Traditionally, the venue is "Shevchenkivskyi grove ("Шевченківський гай") (Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Lviv).

8. "Golden Lion"
The International Theater Festival "Golden Lion" is the main theatrical event of Lviv and Ukraine. During the festival, you can see not only the stage performances but also large attractions at street shows in different areas of the old city, both during the day and in the evening. Undoubtedly, it has never happened without a colossal theatrical carnival, in which artists from many countries of the world take part.

Event date: September 30-October 3.
Place of the event: Lviv Academic Spiritual Theater "Resurrection".

9. "The Forum of Publishers in Lviv"
The Forum of Publishers in Lviv has been operating since 1994 through cultural, educational and social projects aimed at encouraging reading and promotion of literature, the development of book publishing and the library sector, and raising the cultural and educational level of children and young people. The Forum of Publishers in Lviv pays much attention to the promotion of reading among children and young people: reading is presented as a way of successful social adaptation, which contributes to the formation of a highly developed personality, able to integrate into the world community.
