Poor motorcycle

I got this motorcycle from my father. He already has 2 motorcycle so I asked one from him so that me and my husband have something to use especially going to and from work. Naturally, he would give me the older one (hehehe). It's supposed to be my birthday present but ended up paying a small amount for it so that I wouldn't take it for granted as my father said.

A couple of days ago, after my husband dropped me off to work and just in time he arrived to his workplace, our motorcycle just stopped running. It wouldn't start anymore no matter how hard he kick it just to start it. This motorcycle is already a couple of years old so we thought it's about time to have it checked by a motor mechanic.

This is how it looked like when it was stipped bare. The mechanic was a little bit old and when he checked it, he said that the motor coil got wet with water and needs to be rewind. He said that it just needs to be rewind and it would work. He said that we would pay ₱1,200 for everything and that we can get it the next day.

So the following day, we went back to his shop to get our motorcycle just to find out that it's still not fixed and that there's another thing that needs replacement. So we went to buy the replacement parts worth ₱730. We bought the new part together with the busted device for an example to make sure we got the right one. When the new part was inserted it still wouldn't work.

So we went back to the store to complain. The store owner asked us what is the brand of our motorcycle. We told him the brand and he said that the one we brought for example was used for a different brand. We were told that the one fit for our motorcycle is a different one. Good thing they agreed to replace the one we bought originally even if the packaging is already destroyed. With the spare part that's fit for our motorcycle, it's now working again. We just felt robbed with motorcycle parts (my husband thinks that the one we brought as an example was really not ours) and of course with our money.

We ended up shedding almost ₱2000 that day. And we think that the main issue is still not resolved since the lights on the speedometer and signal lights are not lighting correctly. We would still need to have it checked by our trusted mechanic. Therefore, we would still spend some more money.

Our only consolation is that our motorcycle is running again.

That's all for today folks! Ciao!
