As you can imagine. Here everything is bigger, better and biggest. Jebel Ali is the world's ninth busiest port and the largest man-made harbour and the biggest and by far the busiest port in the Middle-East. Port Jebel Ali was constructed in the late 1970s to supplement the facilities at Port Rashid.
The village of Jebel Ali was constructed for port workers, and it has a population of 300 people.
The company behind this harbour is DP World.

This is very important for a country which imports more or less everything other than oil
