I came across this quote today and it made me think two things immediately:

1. In our increasingly moving image fixated world, I wonder if we are observing even less than ever.
2. I wonder what Warhol would have thought of gifs and the prevalence of gifs in today's online communication. A gif lets "images repeat and repeat", after all. Do they aid us in observing the world?

Warhol was a visual artist and the leading figure of the Pop Art movement the 1960s-70s, but he has much to say about a lot of things. Here are some more of his better known quotes:
