Life Is Strange -- Edward Snowden's tweet about me! (PLUS how to get your very own free Snowden mask!)

in #anarchy8 years ago (edited)

I couldn't believe my eyes! Edward Snowden had just tweeted a picture of me! I was holding a giant sign I'd had printed with one of his best tweets This was back in July... I felt it was especially apropos after the FBI director pardoned Hillary Clinton for something anyone else would have been put in prison for...

...and I held it outside the local FBI office one day along with other protesters and I held it again at the Hillary Clinton rally in Portsmouth, NH the next day. A pic of it got back to Snowden, who then tweeted the pic... of me holding his tweet. Ha! Totally meta...

His words—"Life is strange"—definitely rang true as I sat pondering how cool it was that because of technology, we are all still able to connect with one another, half way around the world, even in political exile. The facade of power that the ruling class wants to subject us all to is crumbling. They can't stop the free thinkers!

  • The Snowden movie opened in theaters this weekend! (The documentary CitizenFour is also highly recommended!) Check out the trailer for Snowden here:

  • PardonSnowden.org—Sign the letter and urge President Obama to pardon Edward Snowden before leaving office. Time is running out.

at NH Liberty Forum, something I was looking forward to for months! My buddy @jjepic recreated an Edward Snowden mask that we'd seen online and @carlagericke arranged to have a few thousand of them printed for the occasion. I also put up a VERY basic website—http://SnowdenMask.com—where ANYONE can print out their own FREE Edward Snowden mask at home... for use at protests, demonstrations, educational outreach, and other forms of activism! Or you can take him to the movies with you... :)

The following is a report of accusations I have read online or seen on YouTube. I do not know if the accusations are true, but I think some people would like to know about this. Here are some of the things being said online—

Snowden and Assange are what the intelligence community call a "limited hangout." A Limited Hangout is the release of a limited amount of information that is carefully worded so that nothing damaging to the releaser(s) is said, but that part of the overall effect is to damage the image of one or more of releaser(s') enemies and/or promulgate misinformation.

Online analysts are also saying that Snowden and Assange are assets of one or more US three-letter agencies. More than a year after Snowden burst on the scene, only 1% of the promised files have been released by Glen Greenwald, and nothing really new has been learned. We have heard that one US agency listens to, and records phone calls and email of private citizens and some world leaders. This is not news, and some people have believed this for ten years or more.

The net effect of the 1% of files released so far has been to serve as a warning, to both whistleblowers and average citizens, that they should watch their back, and be careful what they say, and to whom they say it.

Meanwhile, Greenwald, who is gatekeeper for the thousands of files, has already grown rich by making movie and book deals. Why is he not releasing more information? Why is it that the information in these secret files, has so far contained nothing really new, and is not damaging to any government agency?

So, that is a brief summary of things being talked about online recently. What do you think?

Break classification rules for the public's benefit, and you could be exiled.

Do it for personal benefit, and you could be President.
