North California Woods Tourist | Family Reunion

in #adventure6 years ago (edited)

The world is a big place. Sometimes you find yourself wandering to places you never thought possible. After we visited Redwood National Forest we did a bit of site seeing in those North California woods.

Stacie D (@freedomtowrite) loves road side attractions. Anything that will draw us off of the road and into a tiny town. We have seen some pretty fun things like the giant elephant Romeo in Wisconsin, or the Buffalo Bill museum in Kansas.

This time we got to see a legend. A tall tale. We saw Paul Bunyon. He was joined by his pal Babe the blue ox. The statue wasn't quite 63 axe handles high, but it was a big one.

Not only did we see a legend, but we ran into a family member. I may not be quite as tall, but atleast twice as good looking. Sasquatches and Yeti's go way back. I would still choose the snow over the rain.

I hope you are all enjoying out adventure.

Very cool. :D I've heard of and seen other pictures of the "Paul Bunyon" statue but never the one of "Babe" the blue ox or the Sasquatch ones, they are all neat though. :D
You should have closed your eyes when you were standing with your kin, the Sasquatch so you could have the same looks on your faces, LOL. :D Great pictures either way though, thanks for sharing. :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D

Yeah it was a great time. Those woods were amazing! I would surely like to visit them again. We are currently working our way down the coast.

How far down the coast are you going? How long will you be travelling for before you decide to head to your final destination? Is there any place that you've been on this trip that you don't ever want to go back to? If so, what makes it a place you'd rather not return to? :D
I hope you have a safe and fantastic trip for the rest of your travels. :D

Hi there! We hope to go all the way to San Diego. Not sure how long we will be on the road. There is so much to see! Yeah, only a couple places have felt very dark. Grand Junction, Colorado. Eurecka and Cresent City, California. Alot of drugs, and spiritually dark. You can feel it.

Hello! :D San Diego, that's in California right? I'm not good with maps, my brain just doesn't translate longitude and latitude or street names or direction of travel, I'm constantly getting lost. :D
Yes there are definitely places where you can feel the hopelessness, anger, fear and hatred that hits you like a wave of heat in your face so hot you want to duck for cover or back away quickly.
Be careful, have fun, and stay safe. :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
