All of my Fav YouTubers are going

in #youtube7 years ago (edited)

Even with how bad the YouTube scene has been going since the weeks, months of the dreaded YouTube adpocalypse. I been keeping hopes that things on yt might get better...or so I thought.

Having been an avid YouTube viewer for the past years have definetly kept me going as my source of entertainment but also inspired me to do and create content.

From the typical gaming channel to personalities making comedy to the informative science channel. YouTube is making it so hard for them to continue making content, and content that "They Want" to do.

The creativity aspect is restricted just to ensure not getting flagged or for lack of better words. To survive

I miss the good old youtube and I hope that YouTube is able to stand strong for its creators. And they better act fast.

Hey intern, great post buddy. I definately agree with what you said. I do however have to point out that I don't think Youtube censors people. Youtubes advertising program is funded by advertisers so they have no choice but to keep them happy. I do with Youtube/Adsense would allow advertisers a choice like NSFW and family friendly so advertisers and creators had more choices but at the end of the day Youtube isn't really stopping anyone from creating the type of content they want, creators are just not wanting to create content if they are not going to be paid for it which is somewhat understandable.

My Youtube niche is pretty advertiser friendly. I sometimes maybe would be a little bit more out there or may cuss a bit more or cover some more controversial topics if that weren't in my head, but at the end of the day I don't find it too restrictive.

I think the people who are most unfortunately affected by this are the news and current event channels. They can't cover certain topics simply because a keyword will block their video from being monetized when in reality there's nothing really raunchy or not advertiser friendly about what they are doing.

Great post though I think you brought up some excellent points.
