What do I do on a rainy, cold grey humpday up here in Canadia? I #wednesdaywalk myself back in time for the warmth of an epic tropical journey.
I guess you might like an intro to this adventure? It is aboard Grapplers Escape which is a cruise for predominantly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners.
Every morning, no matter how long the night before lasted, is started with a training seminar starting at 8am. No better way to spend a morning on vacation more productively than you ever have. Live sparring at the end.
After that, it is party time. Here is my buddy Braulio kicking off the afternoon with a huge Fosters.
Next, we jump on the crazy bus for more of a ride than a walk. I love how these island busses allow beer on the way to your destination. Also amazed at how well behaved everyone is in this picture. Not quite how I remembered it.
Then, a short walk to the beach. more swimming and lounging than walking but a few hours of sun-soaked languishing is the goal of any tropical vacation.
Next up, a good long walk along the beach to a catamaran to take us on a little booze cruise.
These damn Brazilians sure know how to party!
Our walking is not quite done as we all suit up for a little multi deck procession.
Imagine a hundred gi-clad weirdos taking the stairs up a few decks through the belly of a cruise ship. We had a destination in mind for a scenic picture.
We were allowed to walk up onto the helicopter pad on the huge bow of the ship for a group shot. Taking me so long to finish this post as I look back on the faces I long to see again, each with different fond memories.
That walk brings back warm memories during a dull and cold late autumn day. I love all seasons and a snowy winter is hopefully on the way but it is fun to escape to the balmy tropics for a while.
It was indeed a very beautiful trip and quite fulfilling I can see.
A very lovely trip with beautiful memories, all of you guys had great fun 😁
A cruise to remember, of untouched beauty.
The glow of the Sun is really beautiful, you had a bon voyage.
