Gizli Anlarin Yolcusu by Ayse Kulin

Ilhami is the owner of a publishing house. He lives a happy life with his wife Eda, daughter Derya, and son Can. However, their lives are turned upside down when Can dies in a traffic accident. Three years later, Eda still hasn't recovered from the loss. Ilhami tries to support his family, but one night, while drunk, he makes the mistake of sleeping with his business partner, Handan. He regrets it immediately, but Handan begins to become jealous and intolerable. Ilhami can't handle the situation at work and ends their relationship.

Ilhami has to go to the Black Sea to get the copyright for an author's books. Eda and Handan insist that he doesn't go alone, so he brings along Bora, a talented employee at the publishing house. While on the trip, Ilhami reads a book that Bora brought, written by a friend, and is impressed by it. After getting drunk with Bora, Ilhami realizes that the book is actually written by Bora. Ilhami and Bora end up spending the night together, and Ilhami realizes that he is gay. They become lovers, but Ilhami is occasionally ashamed of his relationship with Bora, who is loved by his daughter Derya.

Handan, thinking that Ilhami has another woman in his life, becomes jealous. Tired of the situation, Ilhami plans a trip to China with Bora, Derya, and Eda. The trip is mentioned in the book Bora wrote. However, a photo Ilhami takes with a Turkish man in China leads to complications. Derya refuses to study abroad because of her love for Bora, and wants to do an internship with her father in Turkey instead. Meanwhile, Ilhami wants to end his partnership with Handan and start a new company with Bora, Derya, and Eda.

At a dinner to renew their friendship, Ilhami and Handan meet the man from the photo in China. Handan realizes that Ilhami went to China with Bora, and assumes their partnership is over. Ilhami goes to the publishing house, but Handan is not there. When he returns home, he is confronted by Eda, who has found out that he is gay. Eda leaves, saying she will go to London with Derya and wants a divorce. Ilhami goes to Bora's house, only to find Bora dead, having fallen from the balcony.
