For many people, the hardest person to forgive is themselves.
If God can forgive us, then we can, and must, forgive ourselves. Not to forgive ourselves is to exalt ourselves above God.
Should your standards be higher than God's standards? He forgives. Why won't you forgive yourself?
The devil wants you to stay focused on your past and your failures, so you will not receive God's blessing. God wants you to believe His Word and focus on His victory so you will have a better future.
