Project Details
Node.js is a platform that allows you, the developer, to use JavaScript to develop utilities in your own machine, basically anything that can be done using PHP or Ruby on Rails now can be done using JavaScript in node.js. It is also used to create a web server and web applications.
You can take a look at their Crowdin project here.
And if you want to read the official node.js description
Node.js® is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine.
Contribution Specifications
Node.js is among the very best of platforms for computing systems, being a project of such a massive importance to the open sourcer community it is being translated into several languages, I am working as a spanish translator and I'm proud to use my services for the greater good.
Translation Overview
This translation was focused around the following subject:
Command Line Options
But What is a Command Line?
A command lines is the interface users use to communicate directly with the computer (the more direct communication is called low level), entering keywords called commands and using the keyboard, we can navigate through this interface.
" But Why Would I use the keyboard if I can just click on things?"
Well the command line doesn't allow you to use your mouse for clicking, although you can sometimes copy and paste code onto it
Basic terms that must be known in order to understand the translation:
Linux Distros: Given that Linux is an open source constant development OS there are tons of different OS that use linux in a specific way. These are called distros, they can be explained as the different sons of dad Linux.
OpenSSL; is a package focused on cryptography that is normally used by coders.
Stderr is the file that contains the data that allows errors to be printed.

Word Count
1093 words were translated in this part and my total of translated words in node.js is: 4951+1015+1093+1296 = 8355 words

My Crowdin profile
I have been translating since september 2017 and with DaVinci since last summer, happy to be here.
Hi @thatmemeguy,
Thank you for submitting your contribution!
This is a very interesting project that contains many code values and terms related to computer science. Its difficulty relies on the fact that we must pay a lot of attention to the code in order to deliver the most accurate translation possible.
Your presentation post explains all the basic details about the project and you also shared useful examples of your work as a translator.
You have been getting familiar with the project's terminology and you did a good job on this contribution. However, once again I must remind you the importance of avoiding typos and misstatements as they significantly decrease the quality of the translation.
I'm looking forward to your next contribution.
