RE: Introducing HEDE: Wiki Platform & Knowledge Sharing Dictionary on Steem

in #utopian-io6 years ago

Thank you for what you have brought to the ecosystem. This project excites me for finally having my favorite social media concept in Steem blockchain. I know I am not the only one who thinks that this is a must-have project, and it's been already showing progress.

Back then, in the good ol' days where Internet culture of Turkey was based on those "dictionaries", the amount of experience shared and the knowledge you obtained from one of those were significant. I still make my research for uncommon information about thoughts about universities and their programs, visa procedures of countries, must-see places, side-effects of medicines and especially on experience-based topics. There is no other concept where I'd get that much information in this wide scale.

After 7 years, some of my best friends are still the ones I met in a dictionary...

I hope more people will get to know the concept and get used to it. I really wish to see an English-speaking community in a dictionary.

@hede-io @ercu , my suggestion and request for the project is to add an instant messaging feature. My best experience with dictionaries was with "Kalin Sozluk" because it had one.

Thank you for presenting the great introduction post via Utopian. I hope you'll reach enough people to make this project a great success as it deserves.

Thank you so much for letting people understand the importance of the project with your examples! Your support is very important for the future of the project. As you said, we look for any experience-based information on these dictionaries before doing anything and we hope every person in the world will have this opportunity sometime.

For the private messaging suggestion; i have been fan of Steem blockchain as everything was public. We can comment on any post instead of PM and others would see it and learn from that also. However, we might, of course, add private messaging if authors' demand for it increases. We will be making announcements on-site and via Steem posts soon, instead of using Discord. I will surely check your example website for how they did it. Thank you again.

The decision of local authorities to strictly oversee the local cryptocurrency exchange market and closely monitor large transactions was triggered by a series of reports that have come out in the past few months that have claimed the Yakuza, the biggest criminal syndicate in the country, is using cryptocurrencies to launder hundreds of millions of dollars regularly.

Do u really think its workable platform for authors who needs to earn through their witing platform is it really payble?

The writing format of the project is kind of different than blogging, so at first, you get to know the concept. The project doesn't have high enough SP to fund and support all the authors with good amounts. But it would change dramatically when it gets support and delegation from Steem community. As a result, it depends on the authors and community to build the future of the project. It's too young at the moment, but since I am closely familiar with similar projects, I see a good opportunity and success in this project.
