Friends in steemit, today I want to share with you about unique and rare birds. The name of this bird is Hornbill or Bucerotidae, this bird species we can find in tropical and subtropical Africa, Asia and Melanesia. This bird has a long and strong beak. the curvature is often brightly colored and sometimes has things like a box in the upper jaw. The strange thing I like about this bird is when this bird lay eggs. Female hornbills usually lay eggs in a hole that their partners have made on a tree. Then, after the female bird enters the hole and is ready to lay eggs then assisted by her partner, this female bird seals herself, closing the entrance with dirt and mud. Only a small gap is left to fentillate, therefore male birds are obliged to find food for female birds that are inside the tree trunk. The aim and purpose of this bird is to keep the nest safe from the onslaught of the cruel outside world until these birds are mature enough to leave the nest and learn how to fly.
