TVS Apache RTR series bridges the gap between commuters and entry level performance bikes in India. It comprises of three models: RTR 160, RTR 180 and RTR 180 ABS, which sport a common yet pleasing design. The manufacturer has made available all the excitement and thrill, a rider craves for in his motorcycle.
The engine designed for the Apache 160 RTR is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with 159.7cc of displacement. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and dishes out a supreme power of 15.2bhp at 8500rpm with peak torque of 13.1Nm at 4000rpm. The top speed achieved by the bike is 118kmph and it takes about 6 seconds to turn from 0 to 60kmph.
On the other hand, Apache 180 RTR and the ABS model incorporate 177.4cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valves, OHC motor, which is linked to a 5-speed constant mesh. It regulates a topmost power of 17.03bhp at 8500rpm with a highest torque value of 15.5Nm at 6500rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 60kmph in around 5 seconds and heads till 124kmph.
