How to put "Rust Weathering Effects" on a model kit

Hello steemians, i have another tutorial ong gunpla again, it's still weathering but a little twist, were gonna be putting some "Rust Weathering Effect", well for those steemians who doesn't know about weathering, weathering is applied in model kits especially gunpla or gundam model kits, it adds a realistic effect on the kit and make it more cooler look
Well without further redo let's get started

Materials we're going to use are:
Black oil pastel
Medium colored brown oil pastel
1 paint brush
1 file that has a rough grit

First get the piece you wanted to put some weathering, im using its ankle armor on the kit.So next is sand the edges of the piece by using a file

And as you can see here i sanded it.

Then put a brown oil pastel on the parts that you have sanded. Dont erase it yet.

Next is get your paint brush and a black oil pastel.

By using your paint brush, brush it to the black oil pastel so that the color sticks in the brush.

Then brush it on the piece or just tap it on the piece that you have putted a brown oil pastel. Do it gently.
